An Experimental Method for Bio-Signal Denoising Using Unconventional Sensors
In bio-signal denoising, current methods reported in the literature consider purely simulated environments, requiring high computational powers and signal processing algorithms that may introduce signal distortion. To achieve an efficient noise reduction,

Removing the Noise from Chaos Plus Noise [PDF]
The problem of extracting a “signal” xn generated by a dynamical system from a time series yn = xn + en, where en is an observational error, is considered. It is shown that consistent signal extraction is impossible when the errors are distributed according to a density with unbounded support, and the underlying dynamical system admits bomoclinic pairs.

Lensing-Induced Structure of Submillimeter Sources: Implications for the Microwave Background [PDF]
We consider the effect of lensing by galaxy clusters on the angular distribution of submillimeter wavelength objects. While lensing does not change the total flux and number counts of submillimeter sources, it can affect the number counts and fluxes of ...

Meta‐analysis fails to show any correlation between protein abundance and ubiquitination changes
We analyzed over 50 published proteomics datasets to explore the relationship between protein levels and ubiquitination changes across multiple experimental conditions and biological systems. Although ubiquitination is often associated with protein degradation, our analysis shows that changes in ubiquitination do not globally correlate with changes in ...

Impact of noise and damage on collective dynamics of scale-free neuronal networks
We study the role of scale-free structure and noise in collective dynamics of neuronal networks. For this purpose, we simulate and study analytically a cortical circuit model with stochastic neurons.

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Adaptive Cross-Modal Denoising: Enhancing LiDAR–Camera Fusion Perception in Adverse Circumstances
Autonomous vehicles (AVs) rely on LiDAR and camera sensors to perceive their environment. However, adverse weather conditions, such as rain, snow, and fog, negatively affect these sensors, reducing their reliability by introducing unwanted noise ...

Optimizing photoactivation of PA‐mCherry for optical pooled CRISPR screens
Photoactivatable PA‐mCherry finds widespread use to optically tag individual cells. However, confocal 405 nm UV laser‐scanning (normal scan) is much less efficient than widefield UV illumination, limiting the use of PA‐mCherry on confocal instruments. We remedy this limitation by reporting that rapid and repeated confocal scanning with a low‐intensity,

RoundMi: A quantitative method to analyze mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells
RoundMi is a workflow for rapid analysis of mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells. By combining adaptive preprocessing with automated segmentation and quantification, it enables accurate measurements from single focal plane images, reducing acquisition time and computational demands while remaining compatible with high‐throughput fixed and live ...
