Holographic microinterferometer with noise suppression
Applied Optics, 1989Holographic microinterferometer with the noise suppression is presented. The noise suppression method proposed consists of synchronous deflection of both beams. The method is applied on every step of the holographic process as well as during holographic interferometric investigations.

The importance of low-frequency seismic data has been already recognized by geophysicists. However, there are still a number of obstacles that must be overcome for events recovery and noise suppression in low-frequency seismic data.

Suppression of deterministic diffusion by noise
Physical Review E, 1994A one-dimensional discrete-time dynamics near the onset of deterministic diffusion additively coupled to weak Gaussian white noise is studied. The diffusion coefficient is related to the escape rate out of an interval and a method for the calculation of this rate is introduced which, unlike previous investigations, fully takes into account all relevant

Coherent Optical Noise Suppression
Applied Optics, 1968The performance of coherent optical spatial filtering systems is often limited by lens noise. Imperfections in the optical components generate noisy diffraction patterns when illuminated by spatially coherent light. This random noise often masks useful signals in the output images.

Wall deflections of a multi-lobe type noise suppressing nozzle are minimized without the use of external struts and by the use of only a single internal strut per lobe. The lobes have either a substantially elliptical or substantially circular shape in cross section and they merge into valley regions of substantially circular curvature in cross section.

Low-Frequency Noise Suppression Method Based on Improved DnCNN in Desert Seismic Data
IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, 2019High-quality seismic data are the basis for stratigraphic imaging and interpretation, but the existence of random noise can greatly affect the quality of seismic data.

A hydrophone mounted on the hull of a ship comprises an electromechanical ansducer made of void-containing ceramic material having a high piezoelectric sensitivity to water-borne acoustic sound signals, a transducer made of solid ceramic material having a low piezoelectric sensitivity to hydrostatic acoustic signals, both transducers having similar ...

The noise generated by a snowmobile track in operation can be reduced and attenuated by arranging for the track elements such as the drive lugs and ground-engaging lugs to have a degree of non-uniformity in their repeating pattern and thus to avoid the generation of peak noise levels at particular frequencies.

The Journal of the Helicopter Association of Great Britain, 1959
The Chairman, in opening the meeting, said that after all the comment in the Press in the last few days concerning the noise of helicopters flying over London and in view of the possibility of further comment in the immediate future because of the existence now of a heliport in London, it was opportune that the Association should be having a lecture ...
