Myoelectric Origami‐Based Soft Robotic Knee Exoskeleton to Enhance Sit‐to‐Stand Assistance in Elderly Populations

This work presents a lightweight Miura‐origami soft knee exoskeleton powered by vacuum actuation and integrated with a multimodal physiological intent‐recognition system, providing real‐time assistance during sit‐to‐stand movement to reduce muscle effort and improve user comfort.

CAUIM: Amazonian Cassava‐Based Programmable Biocolloid

Advanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Bridging indigenous heritage and computation, this work introduces the usage of cauim, a traditional Amazonian cassava fermented beverage, as a programmable memristive‐like substrate and resistance switching. The material exhibits frequency‐dependent dynamics enabling reconfigurable Boolean logic operations.

Electrothermally Controlled 3D‐Printed Shape Memory Polymers for Near‐Ambient Temperature Soft Robotic Applications

In this article, we develop bespoke resins for stereolithography 3D‐printing of soft‐robotic grippers that are controlled remotely by electrothermal stimulus near ambient temperatures. Turning on the electrical control, each finger can be actuated separately.
