Additive representations of non-additive measures and the choquet integral [PDF]

open access: possibleAnnals of Operations Research, 1994
Real-valued mappings \(v\) defined on a finite algebra are considered satisfying the condition \(v(\emptyset)= 0\) (so-called non-additive measures or capacities). Various properties of the Choquet integral with respect to \(v\) are considered. Especially, a Radon-Nikodým derivative is defined and Bayesian update of a non-additive measure is derived ...

On Regularity for Non-additive Measure

2011
In this paper, we give a certain result on the regularity for nonadditive Borel measure under the conditions of weakly null additivity, a continuity from above, and a certain additional continuity.

Some aspects of non-additive measures

2015 IEEE 13th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY), 2015
It is a well known fact that non-additive measures, i.e., monotone set functions, and corresponding integrals have been successfully applied in many different areas, both theoretical and practical. Due to the course of research, this problem has diversified into two directions.

Atomicity related to non-additive integrability

, 2016
In this paper we present some results concerning Gould integrability of vector functions with respect to a monotone measure on finitely purely atomic measure spaces. As an application a Radon-Nikodym theorem in this setting is obtained.

Identification of non-additive measures from sample data

2003
Non-additive measures have become a powerful tool in Decision Making. Therefore, a lot of problems can be solved through the use of Choquet integral with respect to a non-additive measure. Once the decision maker decides to use this criterion in his decision process, next step is to build the non-additive measure up.

The vulnerability of executive functioning: The additive effects of recent non-restorative sleep, pain interference, and use of expressive suppression on test performance

Clinical Neuropsychologist, 2019
Objective: Certain transient contextual factors (i.e. higher expressive suppression, pain, and non-restorative sleep) are all associated with temporary decrements in performance on measures of executive functioning (EF), making clinical interpretation of

Solving nonlinear equations by non-additive measures

Nonlinear Analysis: Theory, Methods & Applications, 1997
The paper contains a review of some nonstandard methods in measure and integration theory (nonadditive set functions, Choquet and Sugeno integral, \(\oplus\)-decomposable measures) and their applications to nonlinear partial differential equations, optimization and decision theory.

Stochastic approximation with non-additive measurement noise

Journal of Applied Probability, 1998
The Robbins–Monro algorithm with randomly varying truncations for measurements with non-additive noise is considered. Assuming that the function under observation is locally Lipschitz-continuous in its first argument and that the noise is a φ-mixing process, strong consistency of the estimate is shown.
