The increasing trend of the individualization of products demands an advancing widening of the range of varieties of the goods on offer while at the same time lot sizes decrease. To handle the challenges this implies manufacturing needs to use technologies which allow for a flexible and effective production especially in the lower lot size segment. One

Modeling and Dynamics Analysis of Non-Circular Gears
Proceedings of the 2020 2nd International Conference on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, 2020Compared with circular gear, the tooth shape, pitch diameter, tooth profile equation and meshing characteristics of non-circular gear are constantly changing. Variable transmission ratio can be achieved. According to the characteristics of the non-circular gear, the pitch curve was designed and the non-circular gear was modeled by Pro/E.

Is Yablo's paradox non-circular?
Analysis, 2001Stephen Yablo's paradox is an apparently non-circular version of the Liar, consisting of a sequence of sentences beginning: \[ \text{For all } k>0,\;s_k\text{ is not true}.\tag \(s_0\) \] \textit{G. Priest} [Analysis, Oxf. 57, 236-242 (1997; Zbl 0943.03588)] argued that it was in fact circular, and \textit{R.

The vibration of a shaft depends amongst other factors on its stiffness. This is defined as the quotient of a force applied to the shaft divided by the resulting deflection in the direction of the force. If this stiffness is independent of the direction of the force in the plane in question, then the shaft is regarded as circular, otherwise it is non ...

A root-MUSIC algorithm for non circular sources
2001 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing. Proceedings (Cat. No.01CH37221), 2002We present in this paper a new direction finding algorithm for non circular sources that is based on polynomial rooting. Due to the non circularity characteristics of the impinging sources, the proposed method is able to handle more sources than sensors.

The Design of Non-Circular Linings
New Pipeline Technologies, Security, and Safety, 2003The paper describes a design method developed under the French research project Rehabilitation of Urban Network Sewers (RERAU) that has the following main objectives: improve the quality of structure diagnoses; define the field and the conditions of use of renovation techniques; and, establish a rational design methodology for sewer rehabilitations ...

Enhancements of unitary ESPRIT for non-circular sources
2004 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2004Estimating the directions of arrival of several wavefronts impinging on an array of sensors is a requirement in a variety of applications including radar, mobile communications, sonar, and seismology. Subspace based high-resolution parameter estimation schemes like ESPRIT and MUSIC have become very popular.

Mixing enhancement in non-circular jets
4th Shear Flow Control Conference, 1997Non-circular jets have been the topic of extensive research in the last fifteen years. They were identified to be an efficient passive flow control technique which allows significant improvements of performance in various practical systems, at a relatively low cost, as they rely solely on changes in the geometry of the nozzle.

Deformation Equations for Non-Circular Cylinders
The Journal of the Royal Aeronautical Society, 1960As far as is known, no explicit solution exists in the literature for the displacement equations in u, v and w, for a uniform cylinder of arbitrary cross section subjected to a lateral pressure loading. However, the advent of Ref. 1 now makes available an admirable treatise devoted entirely to the analysis of thin elastic shells.
