Research Progress on Methods for Improving the Stability of Non-Destructive Testing of Agricultural Product Quality

open access: yesFoods
Non-destructive testing (NDT) technology is pivotal in the quality assessment of agricultural products. In contrast to traditional manual testing, which is fraught with subjectivity, inefficiency, and the potential for sample damage, NDT technology has ...

Time of flight fast approximation method for ultrasound sub-surface imaging

open access: yesResearch and Review Journal of Nondestructive Testing, 2023
Time-Of-Flight (TOF) computations are needed in all ultrasound imaging methods. In Non Destructive Testing (NDT), where ultrasound inspections are frequently done using a coupling medium between the transducer and the test piece, wave refraction ...

Evaluation of Surface Quality in SLS‐Printed Nylon 12 Parts for Hygienic Applications in the Food Industry

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 143, Issue 17, May 5, 2026.
SLS‐printed PA12 specimens (untreated or VaporFuse Surface–treated) were evaluated by PAA sanitization (400 ppm; L. monocytogenes, E. coli, S. aureus) and ISO 3452–based penetrant testing, showing > 99.999% bacterial reduction on both surfaces and improved surface continuity after VFS.

Factors influencing the performance of rebound hammer used for non-destructive testing of concrete members: A review

open access: yesCase Studies in Construction Materials, 2021
Non-destructive testing (NDT) has a vital role in finding surface hardness of concrete members. B-Proceq curve can calculate the concrete strength by providing statistical correlations between the destructive and the non-destructive strength.

Prediction of Concrete Strength Based on Design Parameters, Hammer Test and Test UPV by Using Artificial Neural Network (ANN).

open access: yesJournal of Civil Engineering
This study aims to predict the compressive strength of existing concrete without using destructive tests which can damage the surface of the concrete. Destructive testing has the disadvantage of damaging the surface of the concrete, requires a long time

Intelligent Operator‐Independent Flexibility in Robotic Non‐Destructive Evaluation

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 8, Issue 5, May 2026.
Non‐destructive evaluation of high‐value components remains a manufacturing bottleneck due to rigid robotic calibration and fixturing. This study presents a flexible, adaptable system integrating 3D vision and force‐position control with a collaborative KUKA LBR robot. The geometry‐agnostic system enables pose‐independent ultrasonic inspection, detects

Anchorage System Contribution to Post‐Tensioned Bridge Collapse

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 5, May 2026.
This paper presents an experimental investigation of a 1960s precast post‐tensioned girder bridge in Trstena, Slovakia, revealing severe corrosion and anchorage degradation that ultimately led to its collapse. The findings highlight critical vulnerabilities in obsolete anchorage systems and emphasize the need for proactive assessment and maintenance of
