Non-destructive test by the Hopfield network
Proceedings of the IEEE-INNS-ENNS International Joint Conference on Neural Networks. IJCNN 2000. Neural Computing: New Challenges and Perspectives for the New Millennium, 2000The aim of the work is to propose and discuss a technique which allows for classifying the defects found in metallic components on the basis of a non-destructive remote-field eddy-current technique experimental test (RFEC). To this aim, we propose to employ a Hopfield associative memory as a neural classifier.

The structure of non-destructive testing
British Journal of Applied Physics, 1961The physical basis of all non-destructive testing is emphasized. It is suggested that the `structure' (in a general sense) of non-destructive testing is based on two principal forms of energy, viz. the spectrum of electromagnetic radiations and fields and the spectrum of particle movements or vibrations in solids.
