Joining Stainless Steel with a Novel Fe‐Based Amorphous Brazing Foil

open access: yessteel research international, Volume 96, Issue 11, Page 350-358, November 2025.
A newly developed flexible Fe‐based foil is to be used in the field of brazing to minimize the use of Ni in brazing alloys. The substitution of Ni will result in ecological, economic, and health benefits. Investigations of the brazing properties have shown that the newly developed Fe‐based foil can cope with a conventional Ni‐based brazing alloy.

Polyvinyl Alcohol‐Based Cryogels: Design, Characterization, and In Vitro Biological Studies

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 142, Issue 39, October 15, 2025.
ABSTRACT Using inappropriate wound dressings makes the wound prone to bacteria invasion, impeding the wound‐healing process. In this work, cryogels were prepared from selected polymers, such as polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC), and sodium alginate (SA) via a freeze–thaw method and loaded with Capparis sepiaria plant extract ...

Shape-based defect classification for Non Destructive Testing

open access: yes, 2015
The aim of this work is to classify the aerospace structure defects detected by eddy current non-destructive testing. The proposed method is based on the assumption that the defect is bound to the reaction of the probe coil impedance during the test ...

Ultrasonic characterization of the mechanical properties of polyester resin/ignimbrite stone powder composite mortars

open access: yesPolymer Composites, Volume 46, Issue S3, Page S476-S495, 10 October 2025.
Schematic diagram of the production and ultrasonic characterization of polyester resin/ignimbrite stone powder composite mortars. Abstract The elastic properties of Polyester Resin (PR)/Ignimbrite Stone Powder (ISP) composite mortars were determined by measuring ultrasonic wave velocities in the mortars. In the production of composite mortars, ISP with
