Much of theoretical computer science is based on use of inductive complete partially ordered sets (or ipos). The aim of this thesis is to extend this successful theory to make it applicable to probabilistic computations. The method is to construct a "probabilistic powerdomain" on any ipo to represent the outcome of a probabilistic program which has ...

Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

Non-Determinism of "Deterministic" LLM Settings
LLM (large language model) practitioners commonly notice that outputs can vary for the same inputs under settings expected to be deterministic. Yet the questions of how pervasive this is, and with what impact on results, have not to our knowledge been systematically investigated.

Determinism and non-determinism in PDL
In a previous paper of the author it is proven that if we add the iteration to SPDL (strict propositional dynamic logic) then the new system has the same expressive power as PDL (propositional dynamic logic). Under review the case of nondeterminism is studied.

An in situ electroplating approach for MEX 3D printing is proposed, enabling copper deposition during the fabrication of conductive polymers. The method combines a printer‐integrated plating head, ML‐based g‐code control, and stop‐and‐go printing, achieving near‐bulk copper conductivity and enabling fully embedded, assembly‐free electronic components ...

ABSTRACT Quantifying oral polymorphonuclear neutrophils (oPMNs) is a clinically validated approach for assessing periodontal inflammation. However, current methods, such as manual hemocytometry and flow cytometry, are time‐consuming (>3 h), require invasive sampling, and depend on staining and complex instrumentation, making them unsuitable for point ...

TSN-Interworked Deterministic Transmission over WLAN
Many Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) workloads require deterministic service across heterogeneous links, yet commodity WLANs are contention-based. Although IEEE 802.11be introduced Restricted Target Wake Time (r-TWT) for prioritized access, its ability ...
