Non-Fourier heat transport in nanosystems [PDF]

open access: yesLa Rivista del Nuovo Cimento, 2023
AbstractEnergy transfer in small nano-sized systems can be very different from that in their macroscopic counterparts due to reduced dimensionality, interaction with surfaces, disorder, and large fluctuations. Those ingredients may induce non-diffusive heat transfer that requires to be taken into account on small scales.

Causality in non-fourier heat conduction

open access: yesJournal of Physics Communications, 2022
Abstract We present a study of the causal response of non-Fourier heat conduction by introducing a dispersive generalized thermal susceptibility and show it obeys Kramers-Kronig relations. In particular, we discuss the Cattaneo-Vernotte and the dual-phase lag models.

A State-of-the-Art Review on Integral Transform Technique in Laser-Material Interaction: Fourier and Non-Fourier Heat Equations. [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials (Basel), 2021
Heat equations can estimate the thermal distribution and phase transformation in real-time based on the operating conditions and material properties. Such wonderful features have enabled heat equations in various fields, including laser and electron beam

Numerical investigations of nonlinear Maxwell fluid flow in the presence of non-Fourier heat flux theory: Keller box-based simulations

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics, 2023
We investigate the thermal flow of Maxwell fluid in a rotating frame using a numerical approach. The fluid has been considered a temperature-dependent thermal conductivity.

A dual-phase-lag (DPL) transient non-Fourier heat transfer analysis of functional graded cylindrical material under axial heat flux

open access: yesInternational Communications in Heat and Mass Transfer, 2022
A dynamic thermal conduction problem needs a mathematical formulation and solution consisting of cylindrical coordinates of materials for the application of nuclear reactor and/or laser therapeutic when subjected to higher heat fluxes.
