Evolution and application of heat transfer theory in supernormal hot working processes:from Fourier heat conduction model to non-Fourier heat conduction model

open access: yesCailiao gongcheng
This paper focuses on the theoretical innovation from Fourier heat conduction to non-Fourier heat conduction and its key application in the field of extreme heat transfer.

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

3D Non-Uniform Fast Fourier Transform Program Optimization

open access: yesApplied Sciences
MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) technology aims to map the internal structure image of organisms. It is an important application scenario of Non-Uniform Fast Fourier Transform (NUFFT), which can help doctors quickly locate the lesion site of patients ...

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Application of time-frequency spectral analysis methods

open access: yesTrudy Odesskogo Politehničeskogo Universiteta, 2015
In this article the limited application of the non-stationary signals spectra classical analysis using the Fourier transform is substantiated. It is shown that Fourier transform has benefits at periodic signals analysis and limitations when non ...

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Numerical analysis of non-Fourier heat conduction dynamics in the composite layer

open access: yesJournal of Mechanical Engineering and Sciences, 2023
This paper presents the numerical analysis of non-Fourier heat conduction in thin composite layers under asymmetrical boundary conditions. In the thermal barriers such as steam and gas turbine blades, thin film coating are used to protect the blade from

Computational modeling of non Fourier motion

open access: yesJournal of Vision, 2010
We apply a computational model of biological motion processing [1,2] to a class of stimuli described by Taub et al [3]. In these, n translating sine waves, separated by 2pi/n radians but otherwise identical, are randomly sampled spatially to produce an nth order stimulus. For n > 1, the motion of these stimuli is non-Fourier.

Visual Recovery Reflects Cortical MeCP2 Sensitivity in Rett Syndrome

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Rett syndrome (RTT) is a devastating neurodevelopmental disorder with developmental regression affecting motor, sensory, and cognitive functions. Sensory disruptions contribute to the complex behavioral and cognitive difficulties and represent an important target for therapeutic interventions.
