A 3D‐Printed Blister Test Platform for Quantifying Biointerface Adhesion Mechanisms

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A 3D‐printed blister platform enables energy‐resolved characterization of soft hydrogel–rigid interfaces. Integrating precision pressure control with hyperelastic modeling directly quantifies adhesion energy (G) and R‐curve toughening. Results reveal that modulating hydrogel concentration and surface roughness drives a tunable transition from cohesive ...

Non-Gaussian distributions

Applied Mathematics and Computation, 1999
The paper studies (non-Gaussian) diffusions classified as either ``hypo-diffusion'' or ``hyper-diffusion'', where the \(\beta\) order moments are of the type \(t^{\beta/\alpha}\), with \(\beta\) and \(\alpha\) belonging to \(\mathbb{R}^*_+\). The authors introduce signed measures corresponding to non-Gaussian diffusions on \(\mathbb{R}\), inspired by ...

Detection of non-Gaussian signals in non-Gaussian noise using the bispectrum

IEEE Transactions on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 1990
The problem of detecting a non-Gaussian time series in the presence of additive Gaussian or non-Gaussian noise is cast into a classical hypothesis testing framework, using the sample bispectrum as the test statistic. The power of the test is demonstrated as a function of signal-to-noise ratio, the degree of skewness of the signal, and processing ...

LENGTH OF INFLATION AND NON-GAUSSIANITY

International Journal of Modern Physics D, 2011
Certain inflation models are shown to have large non-Gaussianity in special cases. Namely, slow-roll inflation models with an effective higher derivative interaction, in which the length of inflation is finite and a scalar-matter-dominated period or power inflation is adopted as pre-inflation, are considered.

The non-Gaussian dynamics of glycerol

Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter, 2011
We have combined incoherent quasielastic neutron scattering experiments and atomistic molecular simulations to investigate the microscopic dynamics of glycerol moving away from the hydrodynamic limit. We relate changes in the momentum transfer (Q) dependence of the relaxation time to distinct changes of the single-particle dynamics. Going from small to

Weak non-Gaussian approximation

Physical Review E, 1995
A superposition of Gaussian functionals is considered as a trial functional for the Bogoliubov inequality. The direct optimization of the Bogoliubov inequality generates a non-Gaussian approximation. This function may be strongly non-Gaussian but the kernel is the same as the usual one, up to a multiplicative constant.

Coloring Non-Gaussian Sequences

IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2008
We propose a novel method for generating random sequences matching both a target non-Gaussian distribution and a target autocorrelation. In the proposed scheme, samples matching the target distribution are drawn independently and then suitably rearranged to match the target autocorrelation.
