Absorptive Weak Plume Detection on Gaussian and Non-Gaussian Background Clutter
For additive signals on Gaussian clutter, the optimal detector is a linear matched filter that is adapted to the known signal and the covariance of the background. This adaptive matched filter is widely used for gas-phase plume detection, even though the

Gaussian and Non-Gaussian operations on non-Gaussian state: engineering non-Gaussianity
AbstractMultiple photon subtraction applied to a displaced phase-averaged coherent state, which is a non-Gaussian classical state, produces conditional states with a non trivial (positive) Glauber-Sudarshan Prepresentation. We theoretically and experimentally demonstrate that, despite its simplicity, this class of conditional states cannot be fully ...

Non-Gaussianity from inflation [PDF]
Correlated adiabatic and isocurvature perturbation modes are produced during inflation through an oscillation mechanism when extra scalar degrees of freedom other than the inflaton field are present. We show that this correlation generically leads to sizeable non-Gaussian features both in the adiabatic and isocurvature perturbations.

Performance Assessment of Non-Gaussian Control Systems Based on Mixture Correntropy
The performance assessment of any control system plays a key role in industrial control systems. To meet the real-time requirements of modern control systems, a quick and accurate evaluation of the performance of a system is necessary.

Increasing and decreasing entanglement characteristics for continuous variables by a local photon subtraction [PDF]
We investigate how the entanglement characteristics of a non-Gaussian entangled state are increased or decreased by a local photon subtraction operation.

Tachyon mediated non-Gaussianity [PDF]
We describe a general scenario where primordial non-Gaussian curvature perturbations are generated in models with extra scalar fields. The extra scalars communicate to the inflaton sector mainly through the tachyonic (waterfall) field condensing at the end of hybrid inflation.

Inverse modeling of hydraulic tomography (HT) is computationally expensive for estimating high‐dimensional hydrogeologic parameter fields. In this work, we develop a novel method called HT‐INV‐NN, which combines dimensionality reduction techniques with a
