Lymphomas can affect any organ in the body, present with a wide range of symptoms, and be seen by primary care physicians and physicians from most specialties. They are traditionally divided into Hodgkin's lymphoma (which accounts for about 10% of all lymphomas) and non-Hodgkin lymphoma, which is the topic of this Seminar.

Lymphomas are solid tumours of the immune system. Hodgkin's lymphoma accounts for about 10% of all lymphomas, and the remaining 90% are referred to as non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Non-Hodgkin lymphomas have a wide range of histological appearances and clinical features at presentation, which can make diagnosis difficult.

Non-Hodgkin lymphoma is a non-specific term that includes several lymphoproliferative malignant diseases with different clinical and histological appearances. Here, we concentrate on adult lymphomas. We look at their molecular basis, at the development of a classification system based on a better understanding of the biology of the various subgroups ...

The non-Hodgkin's lymphomas, although sharing a common origin, often present physicians with wide variations in natural history and prognosis. The proper therapy of these diseases is based on an understanding of these differences and upon the information gained by pathologic review and staging, as well as the available chemotherapeutic and ...

Pediatric non-Hodgkin lymphoma
Current Hematologic Malignancy Reports, 2007Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) accounts for 7% of cancer in children and adolescents in the United States, or approximately 1000 cases annually. Intraocular non-Hodgkin's lymphoma
Documenta Ophthalmologica, 1990Usually eye symptoms precede the infiltration of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in the central nervous system or in other organs. Early treatment of the tumor by irradiation, to which it is highly sensitive, can preserve the vision and prolong the life of the patient.
