Periodic solutions for first-order cubic non-autonomous differential equation with bifurcation analysis

open access: yesJournal of Taibah University for Science, 2020
This article deals with the development of the number of periodic solutions for ordinary differential equations. We investigated focal values for first-order non-autonomous differential equation for periodic solutions from a fine focus $\mathfrak {z}=0 $.

ON DOUBLE PERIODIC NON-HOMOGENEOUS POISSON PROCESSES [PDF]

open access: yes
Non-homogenous Poisson processes with periodic claim intensity rate are proposed as the claim counting process of risk theory. We introduce a doubly periodic Poisson model with short and long term trends, illustrated by a double-beta intensity function ...

Decomposition pathways of homogeneous catalysts

open access: yes, 2001
Homogeneous catalysts can decompose in a variety of ways: metal deposition, ligand decomposition, reaction with impurities, dimer formation, and reaction of the metal center with the ligand.

Remote Assessment of Ataxia Severity in SCA3 Across Multiple Centers and Time Points

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) is a genetically defined ataxia. The Scale for Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) is a clinician‐reported outcome that measures ataxia severity at a single time point. In its standard application, SARA fails to capture short‐term fluctuations, limiting its sensitivity in trials.

Modelling structural coverage and the number of failure occurrences with non-homogeneous Markov chains [PDF]

open access: yes
Most software reliability growth models specify the expected number of failures experienced as a function of testing effort or calendar time. However, there are approaches to model the development of intermediate factors driving failure occurrences. This

Non-Homogeneous Thermoelastic Timoshenko Systems

open access: yesBulletin of the Brazilian Mathematical Society, New Series, 2017
The authors consider the problem \[ \begin{cases} \rho_1\varphi _{tt}-\left( k(\varphi _{x}+\psi )\right) _x+\left(m\theta \right) _{x}=0,\;\text{ in }(0,l)\times \mathbb{R}^{+}, \\ \rho _{2}\psi _{tt}-\left( b\psi _{x}\right) _{x}+k(\varphi _{x}+\psi )-m\theta =0,\;\text{ in }(0,l)\times \mathbb{R}^{+}, \\ \rho _{3}\theta _{t}-\left( c\theta _{x ...

Clustering Algorithm Reveals Dopamine‐Motor Mismatch in Cognitively Preserved Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To explore the relationship between dopaminergic denervation and motor impairment in two de novo Parkinson's disease (PD) cohorts. Methods n = 249 PD patients from Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) and n = 84 from an external clinical cohort.

The homogeneous explanation of Fickian yet non Gaussian diffusion

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics
This article examines the phenomenon known as Fickian-yet-non-Gaussian diffusion (FnGD). We provide the first homogeneous interpretation of FnGD: we show that in a medium treated as homogeneous, non-Gaussian propagators can arise because the equilibrium ...

CX3CL1 in Early Detection of Alzheimer's Disease: Plasma Dynamics Across Age and Disease Stages

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Backgrounds Alzheimer's disease (AD) is characterized by amyloid‐beta plaques, tau tangles, and neuroinflammation. C‐X3‐C motif chemokine ligand 1 (CX3CL1, also known as fractalkine), a neuroimmune chemokine implicated in AD pathogenesis, shows inconsistent alterations in plasma/serum across studies.
