Labor Market Institutions, Fiscal Multipliers, and Macroeconomic Volatility

open access: yesJournal of Applied Econometrics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT How do labor market institutions shape the transmission of government spending shocks and macroeconomic volatility? We develop a theoretical model in which labor market institutions affect fiscal transmission through their effect on wage rigidity, job separation, and matching frictions.

A Review of Solving Non-IID Data in Federated Learning: Current Status and Future Directions

open access: yes
Federated learning (FL), as a machine learning framework, has garnered substantial attention from researchers in recent years. FL makes it possible to train a global model through coordination by a central server while ensuring the privacy of data on ...

Gender, Stereotypes, and Competitive Performance Gap: An Experimental Investigation

open access: yesManagerial and Decision Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates how participants in competition react to gender stereotypes in performance. We propose two novel gender‐oriented tasks: clicking as a male‐oriented task and face recall as a female‐oriented task with two treatment conditions, which can strengthen shared gender stereotypes and foster gender competition.

Intrusion detection method for IoT in heterogeneous environment

open access: yesTongxin xuebao
In order to address the issue of inadequate training efficiency and subpar model performance encountered by Internet of things (IoT) devices when dealing with resource constraints and non-independent and identically distributed (Non-IID) data, a novel ...

Extending the hyper‐logistic model to the random setting: New theoretical results with real‐world applications

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
We develop a full randomization of the classical hyper‐logistic growth model by obtaining closed‐form expressions for relevant quantities of interest, such as the first probability density function of its solution, the time until a given fixed population is reached, and the population at the inflection point.

Fractional Moment Theory for Anomalous Transport: A Unified Framework for Lévy Flights, Fractals, and Complex Dynamical Systems

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We develop a unified mathematical framework extending classical moment theory from discrete integer orders to a continuous spectrum of real orders f>0$$ f>0 $$, providing a systematic statistical characterization of complex systems exhibiting power‐law behavior.
