Neuromorphic Near‐Sensor and In‐Sensor Computing Enabled by Next‐Generation Material‐Based Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This Review presents a structural framework that classifies neuromorphic sensing into near‐sensor and in‐sensor architectures, clarifying physical coupling between sensing and computation. The framework connects neural and synaptic device functions with recent advances in optical, mechanical, and chemical sensing, compares energy consumption and ...

Lessons From Drug Discovery for Cryoprotective Agent Design: An AI‐Oriented Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cryoprotectant design is reframed through the lens of drug discovery as a multiparameter optimization problem. This perspective highlights how AI and systematic design strategies could enable safer, more effective cryoprotectants, while identifying key limitations that currently constrain predictive progress in cryobiology. ABSTRACT Cryopreservation is

Multiferroic‐Centric Materials and Systems Engineering for Battery Applications: An Insight Into Mechanisms, Strategies, and Characterizations

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multiferroic order parameters – polarization, magnetization, and ferroelastic strain – are positioned as dynamic design variables for batteries. Their mechanistic roles, practical tuning through fabrication and external fields, and ferroic‐resolved characterization routes are unified into a closed‐loop framework, revealing how coupled ferroic responses

Mixed‐Polymer Hole Transport Layers Reinforce Au‐Anode Top Emitting Perovskite Light Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Au‐anode corrosion is shown to occur rapidly under voltage bias in MAPbI3 perovskite LEDs. Resulting Au+ migration quickly leads to device shorting and unstable emission during constant current driving. We demonstrate that using a simple mixed‐polymer hole transport layer containing polyTPD and PVK can reduce Au‐corrosion and stabilize LED operation ...

TDP‐43 Aggregation: The Healthy‐Toxic Balance of the Prion‐Like Domain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TDP‐43 function relies on a delicate balance between reversible phase‐separated states and irreversible aggregation. Under physiological conditions, TDP‐43 forms dynamic droplets and oligomers that support normal cellular functions. In pathological contexts, this balance shifts toward aberrant aggregation, leading to toxic species.

Beyond Potency: Emerging Determinants and Optimization Strategies Enhancing Therapeutic Efficacy of Adult Stem Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Adult stem cell therapy requires more than high in vitro potency. This review proposes a systems framework in which cell‐intrinsic programs, instructive microenvironmental cues, and pre‐/post‐delivery engineering are co‐designed under standardized translational rules.

Observations of meteor-head echoes using the Jicamarca 50MHz radar in interferometer mode [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Chemistry and Physics, 2004
We present results of recent observations of meteor-head echoes obtained with the high-power large-aperture Jicamarca 50MHz radar (11.95°S, 76.87°W) in an interferometric mode.

Are rigid non-inertial frames of reference really rigid?

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper the notion of the rigid frame of reference within special relativity is analysed. Three definitions of rigidity are formulated. By using several examples of non-inertial frames, it is shown that these definitions are not equivalent. It is also shown that so called Möller rigid non-inertial frames are locally rigid, but do not exhibit ...

On the trajectories of bodies in non-inertial reference frames. Part II

open access: yesVestnik Tomskogo gosudarstvennogo universiteta. Matematika i mekhanika
This paper provides a detailed solution to the problem of determining the trajectories of body motion in non-inertial frames of reference. The problem is solved in the basis τ, n, b moving along a given spatial curve. The orts of the basis are the vectors of the tangent τ, principal normal n, and binormal b to the curve.
