Periodic solutions for conformable type non-instantaneous impulsive differential equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2021
In this article we study a type of conformable non-instantaneous impulsive equation with periodic effects. We find a Cauchy matrix that can provide solutions of linear and nonlinear problems and prove some of their properties. Also we study the existence of periodic solution of different types of conformable non-instantaneous impulsive differential ...

Motion and Heat Transfer in Turbulent Vortex Pairs

open access: yesEngineering Transactions, 1978
A two-dimensional problem of turbulent vortex pairs originated by an instantaneous dynamical impulse (cylindrical puffs) or an instantaneous heat release (cylindrical thermals) is considered.

Cloud cavitation on an oscillating hydrofoil [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
Cloud cavitation, often formed by the breakdown of a sheet or vortex cavity, is believed to be responsible for much of the noise and erosion damage that occurs under cavitating conditions.

Compliant Pneumatic Feet with Real‐Time Stiffness Adaptation for Humanoid Locomotion

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A compliant pneumatic foot with real‐time variable stiffness enables humanoid robots to adapt to changing terrains. Using onboard vision and pressure control, the foot modulates stiffness within each gait cycle, reducing impact forces and improving balance. The design, cast in soft silicone with embedded air chambers and Kevlar wrapping, offers durable,

Microglia Mitochondria Support Neuronal Maturation via Metabolic and Transcriptional Reprogramming in Human 3D In Vitro Brain Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
xx xx. ABSTRACT Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental condition characterized by disrupted neuronal circuit maturation. Emerging evidence implicates microglial function and mitochondrial regulation as contributors to ASD‐associated biology, yet the mechanisms linking these processes to neuronal development remain poorly defined ...

Generalized exponential stability of differential equations with non-instantaneous impulses [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 2017
A nonlinear system of differential equations with non-instantaneous impulses is studied. The generalized exponential stability with respect to non-instantaneous impulses is defined. Sufficient conditions by the help with Lyapunov functions are obtained.

On the Origins of Toughness in Corymbia calophylla (Marri Tree) Nuts

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We uncover the natural toughening mechanisms of the marri nut, including fiber pullout, crack deflection, and a viscoelastic matrix, which enable exceptional energy absorption and ductility comparable to Teflon, with an elastic modulus similar to acrylic.
