Variational approach to non-instantaneous impulsive differential equations with p-Laplacian operator

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics, 2022
In this paper, we consider the existence, multiplicity and nonexistence of solutions for a class of p-Laplacian differential equations with non-instantaneous impulses.

Nonlocal impulsive differential equations and inclusions involving Atangana-Baleanu fractional derivative in infinite dimensional spaces

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics, 2023
The aim of this paper is to derive conditions under which the solution set of a non-local impulsive differential inclusions involving Atangana-Baleanu fractional derivative is a nonempty compact set in an infinite dimensional Banach spaces.

On a delayed epidemic model with non-instantaneous impulses

open access: yesCommunications on Pure & Applied Analysis, 2020
In the traditional SIR model a new group into the population is added. It is the group of individuals that carries the disease but does not show symptoms. It is studied the case that the infectious diseases are controlled by a pulse vaccination strategy but in a non-instantaneous way.

Observations of Shock Waves in Cloud Cavitation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
This paper describes an investigation of the dynamics and acoustics of cloud cavitation, the structures which are often formed by the periodic breakup and collapse of a sheet or vortex cavity.

Variational approach to non-instantaneous impulsive nonlinear differential equations

open access: yesThe Journal of Nonlinear Sciences and Applications, 2017
Summary: In this paper, a class of nonlinear differential equations with non-instantaneous impulses are considered. By using variational methods and critical point theory, a criterion is obtained to guarantee that the non-instantaneous impulsive problem has at least two distinct nonzero bounded weak solutions.

Momentum Transfer by Laser Ablation of Irregularly Shaped Space Debris [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Proposals for ground-based laser remediation of space debris rely on the creation of appropriately directed ablation-driven impulses to either divert the fragment or drive it into an orbit with a perigee allowing atmospheric capture.

Non‐instantaneous impulsive Riemann–Liouville fractional differential systems: Existence and controllability analysis

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, 2023
The article is dedicated towards the study of fractional order nonlinear differential systems with non‐instantaneous impulses involving Riemann–Liouville derivatives with fixed lower limits and appropriate integral type initial conditions in Banach spaces.

Hospital Readmission After Traumatic Brain Injury Hospitalization in Community‐Dwelling Older Adults

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To examine the risk of hospital readmission after an index hospitalization for TBI in older adults. Methods Using data from the Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities (ARIC) study, we used propensity score matching of individuals with an index TBI‐related hospitalization to individuals with (1) non‐TBI hospitalizations (primary analysis)

Existence and stability of solutions of ψ-Hilfer fractional functional differential inclusions with non-instantaneous impulses

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics, 2021
In this paper, we prove two existence results of solutions for an ψ-Hilfer fractional non-instantaneous impulsive differential inclusion in the presence of delay in an infinite dimensional Banah spaces.
