Non-intrusive adaptive load identification based on Siamese network

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
The traditional non-intrusive load monitoring (NILM) algorithms are mostly based on classification models, which have several deficiencies. Firstly, a large amount of labeled data is required to train the classification model.

New Onset of Fibromyalgia After Exposure to a Combat Environment: A Longitudinal Cohort Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Traumatic life events are hypothesized to be triggers for the onset of fibromyalgia. Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a common comorbidity of fibromyalgia. However, limited prospective data are available on the development of fibromyalgia after exposure to high‐magnitude stress.

On the Lightweight Potential of Laser Additive Manufactured NiTi Triply Periodic Minimal Sheet Lattices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study explores the lightweight potential of laser additive‐manufactured NiTi triply periodic minimal surface sheet lattices. It systematically investigates the effects of relative density and unit cell size on surface quality, deformation recovery, compression behavior, and energy absorption.

Interaction between Molten Al‐Killed Mn–B Steel and Carbon‐Bonded MgO Refractories Based on Recyclates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
High‐temperature interactions between low‐sulfur Al‐killed Mn–B steel and MgO–C refractories (0 and 50 wt% recyclates) are studied via finger immersion tests (1600 °C). Surface‐active elements influence infiltration. MgO/CaS layer forms, along with spinel and calcium silicate.

Drop Size Measurement Techniques for Agricultural Sprays:A State-of-The-Art Review

open access: yesAgronomy, 2023
Plant protection control based on the spray application of plant protection products is a very complex task depending on a series of factors, among which droplet size is the most influential for deposition and pesticide effectiveness.

Efficient non-intrusive divergence detection techniquesin an in-service non-intrusive measurementdevice

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2000
Efficient non-intrusive techniques that minimise divergence and enable optimal echo path modelling of noise-impaired speech telephony circuits are proposed. Original simulation results show a modelling misadjustment improvement of 28 dB at an echo-to-noise ratio of 0 dB over 1 s adaptation using conventional real-time least-mean-square digital adaptive

Using hidden Markov models for iterative non-intrusive appliance monitoring [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Non-intrusive appliance load monitoring is the process of breaking down a household’s total electricity consumption into its contributing appliances. In this paper we propose an approach by which individual appliances are iteratively separated from the ...
