Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Writing biology with mutant mice: the monstrous potential of post genomic life [PDF]
Social scientific accounts identified in the biological grammars of early genomics a monstrous reductionism, ‘an example of brute life, the minimalist essence of things’ (Rabinow, 1996, p. 89).

Non‐invasive prediction of genotype positive–phenotype negative in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy by 3D modern shape analysis [PDF]
New Findings What is the central question of this study? Can impaired deformational indicators for genotype positive for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in subjects that do not exhibit a left‐ventricular wall hypertrophy condition (G+LVH−) be determined using non‐invasive 3D echocardiography? What is the main finding and its importance?

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Redox modulation and non-invasive evaluation of phenotypic adaptation of Escherichia coli Biofilm
Redox condition is a critical determinant of the metabolism of microbial biofilm. In this study, redox control of Escherichia coli biofilm adaptation in anaerobic chamber of electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance was performed to investigate the relationship between biomass yield and redox adapted metabolism.
