Fault diagnosis in unidirectional non-isolated DC-DC converters
2014 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE), 2014Non-isolated DC-DC converters are the most simple and common power converter topologies and their reliability is of primary importance in many safety critical applications. Therefore, a new fault diagnostic method is presented in this paper for unidirectional non-isolated DC-DC converters using only the converters control variables without requiring ...

Coupled Inductor based Non-Isolated Boost Converter
2020 International Conference on Smart Grids and Energy Systems (SGES), 2020Smart grids use several distributed renewable energy sources. Renewable energy sources like photovoltaic modules provide a low output voltage which requires significant boosting before utilisation. Usual boost converter topologies can deliver the required gain but only when operating at extreme duty ratios.

Non-Isolated Interleaved Flyback Converter
2018 IEEE Innovative Smart Grid Technologies - Asia (ISGT Asia), 2018There is an ever-increasing demand for viable, clean, energy sources. The main obstacle in using solar energy sources is that the output voltage obtained is too low for practical use. The obtained output voltage should be stepped up considerably in connection with the utility mains.

Novel non-isolated LLC resonant converters
2012 Twenty-Seventh Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC), 2012In this paper, a novel non-isolated LLC resonant converter is proposed. This converter can achieve most merits of isolated LLC resonant converter, like zero voltage switching and very low turn off loss for all MOSFETs. By non-isolated technique, the turns of transformer can be largely reduced.

Paralleling non-isolated multi-phase PWM converters
Conference Record of the 2000 IEEE Industry Applications Conference. Thirty-Fifth IAS Annual Meeting and World Conference on Industrial Applications of Electrical Energy (Cat. No.00CH37129), 2002In paralleling converters, it is desirable to have a directly connected structure because of compact size, low cost, simplicity and easy expandability. However, the parallel converters may have interactions due to their nonisolation. This paper develops an average model of the parallel converters in rotating coordinates.

Non-isolated high-step-up resonant DC/DC converter
2016 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE), 2016A non-isolated high-step-up resonant DC/DC converter made up of a resonant inverter and a passive switched-capacitor (SC) rectifier, is proposed in this paper. The proposed converter is free of transformer and coupled-inductor. Thus, issues related to the leakage inductance and the large volume magnetic component caused by large turn's ratio of high ...

Non-isolated multi-port converter integrating PWM and phase-shift converters
TENCON 2017 - 2017 IEEE Region 10 Conference, 2017Multi-power-source systems containing multiple power sources have gained considerable attention since the advent of renewable energy sources, electric vehicles, etc. These systems tend to increase complexity and costs because multiple converters in proportion to the number of power sources are required to individually control each source.

Non-isolated high step-up interleaved boost converter
International Journal of Power Electronics, 2014The output voltage available from renewable sources like photovoltaic panels, fuel cells and battery banks are too low to be practically utilised. Therefore, the available voltage must be stepped up considerably before connecting to the load. In this paper, a novel topology, which consists of two interleaved stages and five voltage multiplier cells, is

Non isolated Boost converters with Switched Inductor Technique
2011 International Conference on Signal Processing, Communication, Computing and Networking Technologies, 2011This paper proposes three simple Boost structures which is based on Switched Inductor Technique (SIT) and Voltage Lift Technique (VLT). Compared with the existing methods, the proposed method achieves high voltage gain without an extremely high duty ratio.
