Non-Linear Confluence Analysis

Theory of Probability & Its Applications, 1957
Non-linear confluence analysis, necessary for the treatment of experimental data when all variables are subject to errors, is considered from the standpoint of the maximum likelihood method. The likelihood function is a product of curvilinear integrals of the respective distribution densities of each point of the curve.

Non-linear rotorcraft analysis

International Journal of Non-Linear Mechanics, 1988
Abstract A limit cycle analysis for a fully non-linear modeling of a helicopter is presented and the results compared to numerical integrations of the equations of motion and to a restricted nonlinear analysis. The model is used to analyze the non-linear ground resonance behavior of a helicopter. Although a restricted analysis will give a qualitative

Usefulness of non-linear EEG analysis

Acta Neurologica Scandinavica, 2009
Spectral analysis methods are useful for the evaluation of EEG signals. Nevertheless, they refer only to the frequency domain and ignore any potentially interesting phase information. Analytical methods based upon the theory of nonlinear dynamics provides this and additional information.

Non-linear analysis of a linear-non-linear-linear system

International Journal of Systems Science, 1992
Abstract There are many non-linear systems in the field of biological systems, control systems and communication systems. The identification of non-linear system is a fundamental problem in these fields. Many investigations of non-linear systems have been carried out from the viewpoint of parameter identification.

Non-linear prediction for oesophageal voice analysis

Medical Engineering & Physics, 2002
Herein, non-linear prediction methods are applied to oesophageal voice analysis. The research aims to investigate normal and pathological subjects, in order to improve knowledge of the oesophageal voice behaviour. Analysis is performed in the reconstructed phase space, using both non-linear prediction with local linear approximation and the S-Map ...
