Non-linear effects in bunch compressor of TARLA
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2016Transport of a beam through an accelerator beamline is affected by high order and non-linear effects such as space charge, coherent synchrotron radiation, wakefield, etc. These effects damage form of the beam, and they lead particle loss, emittance growth, bunch length variation, beam halo formation, etc.

Inertial effects on non linear acoustic streaming
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2015The effect of inertia on nonlinear streaming generated inside a cylindrical resonator where a mono-frequency standing wave is imposed, is investigated numerically using two codes: A code solving the full Navier-Stokes compressible equations, assuming that the flow is isentropic in order to exclude thermal effects, and a code solving the time-averaged ...

Non-Linear Effects of Uncertainty
SSRN Electronic Journal, 2018Recent empirical studies suggest that the negative effects of uncertainty shocks are stronger in recessions than during booms. In this study, I provide a theoretical mechanism that can explain this empirical observation. I start from the argument that the effect of uncertainty on investment depends on the degree of irreversibility. I then show that the

On the Diagnostic of Non-Linear Effects
1977Various methods capable of evidencing possible instabilities in laser plasma interaction are reviewed: direct absorption measurements, density profile modification, X-ray emission, forbidden and satellite lines, harmonic generation. A special emphasis is put on the last topic. The connexion of 3/2 ωL emission with the two plasmon decay is investigated.

Non-Linear Effects of Viscoelasticity
2009Now we are in a position to formulate a system of constitutive equations for polymer systems on the basis of the mesoscopic approach, described in the previous chapters, to investigate non-linear behaviour of polymeric liquids. In the first section, the known results for dilute polymer solutions are described.

Plasma physics is nowadays a fast-developing field. This is to a large extent due to its importance in the search for terrestrial thermonuclear energy-sources. Of course, it is also a subject which is of interest both in its own merit and because of its applications to such more academic fields as astrophysics. All these aspects are well represented at
