Increased sediment loads cause non-linear decreases in seagrass suitable habitat extent.
Land-based activities, including deforestation, agriculture, and urbanisation, cause increased erosion, reduced inland and coastal water quality, and subsequent loss or degradation of downstream coastal marine ecosystems.

A New Load Aggregation Method in Consideration of Non-linear Load
The aggregation of group loads, which consists of the linear and the non-linear systems, yields the error involved in the reactive power aggregation, which is greater than the active power aggregation in the component based load modeling. Each individual reactive power in a group load affects the aggregated load different from composition rate.

Non-linear dynamic analysis of the response of moored floating structures [PDF]
© 2016 Elsevier Ltd. The complexity of the dynamic response of offshore marine structures requires advanced simulations tools for the accurate assessment of the seakeeping behaviour of these devices.

Non-linear consolidation with PVDs under ramp loading
The paper presents a theory of non-linear consolidation for radial flow of a clay deposit treated with PVDs considering linear void ratio-log effective stress relationship, constant coefficient of consolidation but with ramp or construction loading.

ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

A circumferentially flanged tibial tray minimizes bone-tray shear micromotion [PDF]
Aseptic loosening of the tibial component is the major complication of total knee arthroplasty. There is an association between early excessive shear micromotion between the bone and the tray of the tibial component and late aseptic loosening.

ABSTRACT Background Transfusion‐related iron overload (TRIO) is a late effect of therapy impacting survivors of childhood cancer and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) who receive frequent packed red blood cell (pRBC) transfusions. Surprisingly, there are no accepted guidelines to assist providers in identifying and treating at‐risk ...
