On Testing for Independence Between Generalized Error Models of Several Time Series
ABSTRACT We define generalized innovations associated with generalized error models having arbitrary distributions, that is, distributions that can be mixtures of continuous and discrete distributions. These models include stochastic volatility models and regime‐switching models with possibly zero‐inflated regimes.

Stochastic modelling of non Markovian Dynamics in Biochemical Reactions
Biochemical reactions are often modelled as discrete-state continuoustime stochastic processes evolving as memoryless Markov processes. However, in some cases, biochemical systems exhibit non-Markovian dynamics.

Multiplex Decomposition of Non-Markovian Dynamics and the Hidden Layer Reconstruction Problem
Elements composing complex systems usually interact in several different ways, and as such, the interaction architecture is well modeled by a network with multiple layers—a multiplex network—where the system’s complex dynamics is often the result of ...

Penalized Convex Estimation in Dynamic Location Models
ABSTRACT This paper studies L1$$ {L}^1 $$‐penalized estimation for location models yt=mt+ϵt$$ {y}_t={m}_t+{\epsilon}_t $$, where mt$$ {m}_t $$ is defined by a possibly non‐Markovian recursion and ϵt$$ {\epsilon}_t $$ is a martingale difference sequence with possibly time‐varying conditional variance.

Measure‐valued processes for energy markets
Abstract We introduce a framework that allows to employ (non‐negative) measure‐valued processes for energy market modeling, in particular for electricity and gas futures. Interpreting the process' spatial structure as time to maturity, we show how the Heath–Jarrow–Morton approach can be translated to this framework, thus guaranteeing arbitrage free ...

Optimal Portfolio Choice With Cross‐Impact Propagators
ABSTRACT We consider a class of optimal portfolio choice problems in continuous time where the agent's transactions create both transient cross‐impact driven by a matrix‐valued Volterra propagator, as well as temporary price impact. We formulate this problem as the maximization of a revenue‐risk functional, where the agent also exploits available ...

Finite dimensional Markovian realizations for stochastic volatility forward rate models [PDF]
We consider forward rate rate models of HJM type, as well as more general infinite dimensional SDEs, where the volatility/diffusion term is stochastic in the sense of being driven by a separate hidden Markov process.

Exact Closed Master Equation for Gaussian Non-Markovian Dynamics [PDF]
Non-Markovian master equations describe general open quantum systems when no approximation is made. We provide the exact closed master equation for the class of Gaussian, completely positive, trace preserving, non-Markovian dynamics.

Never, Ever Getting Started: On Prospect Theory Without Commitment
ABSTRACT Prospect theory is arguably the most prominent alternative to expected utility theory. We study the investment or gambling behavior of a prospect theory decision maker who is aware of his time‐inconsistency but lacks commitment. For the empirically relevant prospect theory specifications, we obtain the extreme prediction that such a decision ...

Non-Markovian dynamics and quantum information probes [PDF]
This Thesis discusses the phenomenology of the dynamics of open quantum systems marked by non-Markovian memory effects. Non-Markovian open quantum systems are the focal point of a flurry of recent research aiming to answer, e.g., the following ...
