Dynamics and Structure of Molten Neodymium Titanate
ABSTRACT Binary rare earth titanates can be vitrified using levitation melt quenching, and their glasses are promising for optical applications. To better understand their thermophysical properties and dynamics, we have used molecular dynamics (MD) and empirical potential structure refinement (EPSR) to simulate molten neodymium titanate, 83TiO2–17Nd2O3.

Coarse-graining complex molecular systems to lower-dimensional reaction coordinates is a powerful approach for capturing their effective dynamics. The generalized Langevin equation (GLE) provides an exact framework for modeling coarse-grained dynamics ...

ABSTRACT Understanding how demographic dynamics interact with environmental heterogeneity is central to explaining patterns of genomic variation in the marine realm. Indo‐Pacific bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops aduncus) occur along most of the Australian coastline, from tropical to temperate waters, encompassing pronounced differences in temperature ...

ABSTRACT Conservation translocations have become important assets in saving African wild dogs (Lycaon pictus) from local extinction, which have declined drastically due to anthropogenic pressures. In South Africa, wild dogs were eradicated except for a small, isolated population remaining in Kruger National Park.

ABSTRACT Whether gene flow acts as a creative or constraining force on local adaptation is a fundamental question in evolutionary biology, yet its role in the evolution of sexually selected traits remains poorly understood. Here we combine whole‐genome and functional analyses to investigate how geological isolation is associated with the evolution of ...

Dynamical processes on non-Markovian temporal networks

ABSTRACT Speed breeding can shorten breeding cycles and, when combined with genomic selection, can accelerate genetic gain. Yet it remains unclear how different integration strategies affect long‐term response, genetic variance and cost‐efficiency in small public programs.

On the non-Markovian quantum control dynamics
In this paper, we study both open-loop control and closed-loop measurement feedback control of non-Markovian quantum dynamics resulting from the interaction between a quantum system and its environment.
