Electrospun Wood‐Derived Biopolymers as Electrodes in Electrochemical Energy Storage Technologies
Electrospinning transforms wood‐derived cellulose and lignin into architecturally defined, binder‐free carbon electrodes with tuneable porosity and functionality. This review shows how fibre design enables decoupled charge and mass transport, enhancing performance across battery systems, while identifying key challenges in spinnability, scalability ...

A Global Account of Established Non‐Native Fish Species
ABSTRACTThe introduction of non‐native aquatic species has fundamentally transformed aquatic assemblages, primarily due to human activities, such as aquaculture, fisheries enhancement, aquarium trade, the creation of artificial corridors, and deliberate and accidental releases.

New records of the Longfin Batfish, Platax teira (Forsskål, 1775) (Acanthuriformes, Ephippidae), from Zihuatanejo Bay, Guerrero, Mexico [PDF]
Platax teira (Forsskål, 1775) is documented for the first time in Guerrero, Mexico. Juveniles and subadults were recorded at the Fandango shipwreck and on rocky reefs near Zihuatanejo based on citizen-science and our own direct observations ...

Monolithic UV‐ozone oxidation of Ta forms an ultrathin Ta2O5/TaOx bilayer enabling resistive switching with a vertical defect gradient. A stoichiometric surface layer over an oxygen‐deficient sublayer promotes localized filament nucleation near the top interface, enabling low‐voltage operation, and reduced cycle‐to‐cycle variability.

A bio‐inspired biopolymeric implantable drug delivery platform enables localized and sustained release of 7‐ethyl‐10‐hydroxycamptothecin (SN‐38) in solid tumor treatment. The three‐dimensional (3D) structured crosslinked‐chitosan implants are fabricated via 3D‐printed molds and provide drug release over 3 months, significantly inhibiting tumor growth ...

Ultrasoft silicone elastomers often sacrifice surface functionality for mechanical compliance. In Mold Star, low‐molecular‐weight species form a dispersed phase that weakens the network and passivates the surface. Solvent extraction removes this phase, unexpectedly improving both extensibility and metallization performance, enabling conductive ...
