Peristaltic Pumping of a Casson Fluid in an Elastic Tube

open access: yesJournal of Applied Fluid Mechanics, 2016
This paper is concerned with the peristaltic transport of an incompressible non-Newtonian fluid in an elastic tube. Here the flow is due to three different peristaltic waves and two different types of elastic tube.

Exploring Economic Conflict Through the Gravitational Field Model of Trade: Markets, Wars, and Instability

open access: yesConflict Resolution Quarterly, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Building on Walter Isard's location and gravity theories in economics, we extend his trade model to better understand its core principles, including commercial attraction, center of gravity in markets, and favorable location for exporting firms.

Upcycling Textile Waste into Anionic and Cationic Cellulose Nanofibrils and Their Assembly into 2D and 3D Materials

open access: yesChemSusChem, EarlyView.
Cellulose nanofibrils (CNFs) with diverse surface chemistries are extracted from discarded cotton garments using two distinct functionalization routes: cationization and TEMPO‐mediated oxidation. Both routes yield CNFs with high surface charge density and small cross‐sections.

Spray binder for automated preforming: Spray process and preform properties

open access: yesPolymer Composites, Volume 44, Issue 1, Page 432-443, January 2023., 2023
Spray binder for automated preforming Abstract A closer look was taken at a spray binder and the properties of the preforms made with said binder and non‐crimp carbon fiber textiles. First the spray process was analyzed, then T‐peel and three point flexural tests were carried out to compare the spray binder to other binder systems.

Effects of elevated ground temperatures on properties of cement grouts for deep rock grouting

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
When the temperature is up to 35°C, significant improvement in rheological parameters, acceleration of grout setting, and an increase in the rheological time dependence of thick cement grout can occur, but there may be a slight effect on the initial grout flowability and the nature of shear thinning.
