Non-Performing loan and their Effect on the Economy

open access: yes, 2014
This research paper deals with the basic concept of loans and non-performing loans (NPLS). The causes and consequences of non-performing loans, how these loans affect the economy of country and how these loans affect the liquidity of institutes? As we know that Pakistan witnessed the bankruptcies in past, institutes like IDBP, NDFC, PICIC went bankrupt.

Improved Direct Ink Writing of Liquid Metal Foams via Liquid Additives

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The ability to pattern liquid metal is useful for making soft electrical and thermal devices. Dispensing liquid metal from a nozzle naturally results in the formation of spheroidal droplets, making direct‐write printing challenging. Liquid metal foams containing pockets of air can extrude as filaments, albeit inconsistently.

Determinants of Problem Loans: Non-performing Loans vs. Loan Quality Deterioration

open access: yesInternational Business Research, 2016
<p class="1main-text">The growing literature on credit risk determinants provides results that are based on the set of bad loans present in the bank's assets especially non-performing loans. Besides this classic proxy, the present paper examines the determinants of loan quality deterioration by using a qualitative measure.

Gel‐Amin for Improving Extracellular Recordings of Cardiomyocytes in a 3D Microphysiological System

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This work combines a conductive collagen‐based hydrogel with a laser‐cut and assembly technique to fabricate microphysiological systems that improve extracellular recordings of cardiomyocytes in 3D on microelectrode arrays. The inclusion of choline acrylate into GelMA imparts a higher electrical conductivity and improves the signal‐to‐noise ratio of on‐

Physics‐Based Compact Modeling of Advanced 3D Nanoscale Vertical NAND Flash Memory

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
For advanced 3D NAND flash memory, a unified compact model for SPICE is proposed that spans from the intrinsic unit cell to the full string and captures the electrostatic coupling with adjacent inhibit strings. It can successfully predict read behavior, program/erase dynamics, and interactions between neighboring cells, reflecting array‐level behavior ...

Machine Learning‐Assisted Design and Performance Prediction of a Compact Dual‐Band Polarization‐Insensitive THz Metamaterial Absorber for Skin‐Cancer‐Related Refractive‐Index Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A compact QASRR‐based THz metamaterial absorber enables polarization‐insensitive dual‐band absorption and skin‐cancer‐related refractive‐index sensing through measurable resonance shifts. Field, surface‐current, and circuit analyses clarify the dual‐resonance mechanism, while StackNet‐assisted prediction accurately estimates the simulated absorption ...
