Compliant Pneumatic Feet with Real‐Time Stiffness Adaptation for Humanoid Locomotion
A compliant pneumatic foot with real‐time variable stiffness enables humanoid robots to adapt to changing terrains. Using onboard vision and pressure control, the foot modulates stiffness within each gait cycle, reducing impact forces and improving balance. The design, cast in soft silicone with embedded air chambers and Kevlar wrapping, offers durable,

This study explores how information processing is distributed between brains and bodies through a codesign approach. Using the “backpropagation through soft body” framework, brain–body coupling agents are developed and analyzed across several tasks in which output is generated through the agents’ physical dynamics.

Light Manifesto: Non-Philosophy and Meteophilosophy
Deleuze’s speculative suggestion on the dark precursor is not a neutral “creative” cooperation with science that his “hybrid” projects of geophilosophy, schizoanalysis, and so on, were. The dark precursor is mentioned once in Difference and Repetition as a notion of a “vaguely scientific” discipline, and there was no broad or explicit conceptual ...

Origami‐Inspired Structural Design for Aquatic‐Terrestrial Amphibious Robots
This work presents a lightweight amphibious origami robot actuated by a single shape memory alloy wire. A rigid foldable origami structure with displacement amplification enables efficient terrestrial crawling and aquatic swimming. The addition of fan‐shaped units allows controllable turning in both environments.

Sleep Alters the Velocity of Physiological Brain Pulsations in Humans
Sleep alters I/CSF oscillatory flow, driven by increased respiratory (29%) and vasomotor pulsation (21%) velocities, while cardiovascular pulsations decreased by (22%). Velocity is quantified using optical flow analysis of MREG data. Spectral power increases alongside these pulsations (spatial correlation, r = 0.35 and r = 0.39, respectively ...
