It is shown in this comment that recent development in the power theory of systems with non‐sinusoidal waveforms contradicts the conclusions presented in the paper “Apparent Power ‐ a Misleading Quantity in the Non‐Sinusoidal Power Theory: Are all Non ...

A Novel Approach to Estimate the Transition Temperature via Dynamic Nanoindentation
A new dynamic nanoindentation‐based method was developed that uses the stiffness ratio as an indicator of the elastic–plastic deformation contributions at different temperatures. The approach successfully identified transition temperatures in ferritic steel and distinguished them from continuously ductile austenitic steel.

Analysis of non-active power in non-sinusoidal circuits using geometric algebra [PDF]
A new approach for the definition of non-active power in electrical systems is presented in this paper. Thanks to the use of geometric algebra, it is possible to define a new term called geometric non-active power that is applicable to both sinusoidal ...

Improved Harmonic Mitigation Using Dual Three-Phase iUPQC [PDF]
This study simplifies iUPQC administration by employing a dual three-phase design, which makes the methodology behind the study more transparent. By utilising a parallel (shunt) and series active filter, it is possible to limit the amount of harmonics ...

Optimal passive filter design for effective utilization of cables and transformers under non-sinusoidal conditions [PDF]
Transformers and cables have overheating and reduced loading capabilities under non-sinusoidal conditions due to the fact that their losses increases with not only rms value but also frequency of the load current.

This perspective reframes additive manufacturing for electrical machines as a qualification‐limited materials and architecture design problem. It links process–structure–property–performance relationships to magnetic, conducting, dielectric, and thermal property windows, highlighting where AM can enable segmented magnetic circuits, permanent magnet ...

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.
