Covalent Peptide‐Based N‐Myc/Aurora‐A Inhibitors Bearing Sulfonyl Fluoride Warheads

open access: yesJournal of Peptide Science, Volume 32, Issue 3, March 2026.
N‐Myc‐derived peptidomimetics bearing aryl sulfonyl fluoride warheads were shown to act as effective N‐Myc/Aurora‐A PPI inhibitors, selectively labelling Aurora‐A in a recognition‐directed manner. ABSTRACT Orthosteric inhibition of the N‐Myc/Aurora‐A protein–protein interaction (PPI) represents a potential mechanism by which degradation of N‐Myc can be

Microstructural Evolution and Mechanical Performance of Plasma‐Assisted Hybrid Friction Stir Welded Dissimilar Aluminum–Copper Joints

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 28, Issue 3, 4 February 2026.
Plasma‐assisted hybrid friction stir welding of dissimilar AlCu joints employs localized plasma preheating to balance heat input and enhance plastic flow. The optimized process reduces axial force by up to 35%, refines the microstructure, and achieves ≈96% joint efficiency.

Reconfigurable Metamirrors Based on Compliant Mechanisms

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 10, 2 February 2026.
Providing the basis for numerous practical applications, the reconfigurability of metadevices is of great importance. Through the integration of controlled mechanical deformation with chiral meta‐atoms, a compliant mechanism based metamirror is demonstrated for active control over the polarization of electromagnetic waves.

High‐Speed, Maneuverable, and Terrain‐Adaptive Micro‐Robot with Tree Frog‐Inspired Bionic Feet

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 7, 3 February 2026.
A 7.5 mm micro‐robot integrates tree frog‐inspired bionic feet with an electromagnetic linear motor to achieve high‐speed locomotion, slope climbing, and precise turning. It reaches 39 body lengths per second and ascends 30° slopes. The system demonstrates strong potential for inspection tasks in confined and complex environments, such as micro‐aero ...
