The Physics of Spectral Maxima in the Radiation from Non-Thermal Cosmic Radio Sources

Astrophysics and Space Science, 2006
Universal expressions are presented for spectral characteristics of non-thermal cosmic radio sources which show maxima of the spectral density of radiation at specific frequencies (negative slopes spectra). For a number of quasars, radio galaxies and their individual details the most probable physical processes in space leading to spectra of the kind ...

Source of terrestrial non-thermal radiation

Nature, 1976
Observations from satellites have revealed the existence of continuum radiation from just beyond the plasmapause. I propose here that this is generated by Cerenkov radiation coupling to the O mode of radiation, which can propagate in low density plasmas. The observations are interpreted on the basis of this theory.

The slowly varying component of solar meter wavelength radiation: A non-thermal radio source

Solar Physics, 1974
The slowly varying component of solar centimeter wavelength radiation can often be attributed to thermal emission from density enhancements above an active region. This assertion is justified by the success in reproducing the observations by ray tracing calculations in appropriate coronal models.
