Spatial Distribution of Secondary Electrons’ Synchrotron Emission: Property and Implication
Galactic γ -ray sources can be produced by either high-energy protons via proton–proton collisions or electrons/positrons via inverse Compton scattering.

Implications of automatic photon quenching on compact gamma-ray sources [PDF]
Aims: We investigate photon quenching in compact non-thermal sources. This involves photon-photon annihilation and lepton synchrotron radiation in a network that can become non-linear.

Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.

Multimessenger observations suggest that the gamma-ray burst on 2017 August 17 (GRB 170817A) resulted from off-axial observations of its structured jet, which consists of a narrow ultrarelativistic jet core surrounded by a wide mild-relativistic cocoon ...

Effect of Laser Deoxidation on Adhesive‐Bonded Aluminum in an Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere
This study investigates laser ablation of aluminum under oxygen‐free conditions. The goal is to produce oxide‐free substrates that enable improved adhesive bonding with epoxy. Optimized laser parameters (90% overlap, 300 µJ) combined with oxide‐free substrates result in the highest tensile strength of the adhesive bond.

A Leptonic Interpretation of the Ultra-high-energy Gamma-Ray Emission from V4641 Sgr
Recently, the microquasar V4641 Sgr and its surrounding have been detected at TeV–PeV gamma-ray band. Interestingly, the spectrum follows a power-law function continuing up to 0.8 PeV as reported by LHAASO, and the morphology of the emission appears to ...

NuSTAR Observations of Abell 665 and 2146: Constraints on Nonthermal Emission
Observations from past missions such as RXTE and Beppo-SAX suggested the presence of inverse Compton (IC) scattering at hard X-ray energies within the intracluster medium of some massive galaxy clusters. In subsequent years, observations by, e.g., Suzaku,

Transverse coherence properties of X-ray beams in third-generation synchrotron radiation sources
This article describes a complete theory of spatial coherence for undulator radiation sources. Current estimations of coherence properties often assume that undulator sources are quasi-homogeneous, like thermal sources, and rely on the application of the

This study investigates laser‐based oxide removal of Cu inserts in oxygen‐free conditions and examines long‐term oxidation kinetics and surface chemistry under different atmospheres via X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Al–Cu compound casting with differently oxidized surfaces is performed, and intermetallic phase formation, morphology, and thermal ...

A Generic Model for a Persistent Radio Source around Fast Radio Bursts
The repeated fast radio bursts FRB 121102A and FRB 190520B have been reported, along with a spatially coincident, compact, persistent radio emission. In this paper, we present a parameterized one-zone model, with the basic scenario that a relativistic ...
