Non-uniform Excitation States in Photoinduced Deformation of Amorphous Carbon Nitride Films. [PDF]

open access: yesSci Rep, 2018
AbstractAmorphous carbon nitride (a-CNx) films prepared via reactive radio frequency magnetron sputtering deform under on–off visible light illumination. We investigate the relationship between photoinduced deformation and surface electrical states via scanning electron microscopy with Ar+ laser irradiation (SEM-L). Two samples with different levels of

Dynamic response analysis of multi-storey building to a non-uniform excitation [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
In this paper the dynamic behaviour of multi-storey steel building is presented. The structure was subjected to a real, strong mining shock. During the analysis the time history analysis and the spectrum method were taken into account.

Shake Table Test of Long Span Cable-Stayed Bridge Subjected to Near-Fault Ground Motions Considering Velocity Pulse Effect and Non-Uniform Excitation

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
This paper presents the results of shake table tests of a scaled long span cable-stayed bridge (CSB). The design principles of the scaled CSB are first introduced. The first six in-plane modes are then identified by the stochastic subspace identification

Quantum transport in d-dimensional lattices [PDF]

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2016
We show that both fermionic and bosonic uniform d -dimensional lattices can be reduced to a set of independent one-dimensional chains. This reduction leads to the expression for ballistic energy fluxes in uniform fermionic and bosonic lattices.

Study on the influence of near-fault vertical ground motion on the dynamic response of separation and collision of bridge [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports
This study examines the contact nonlinear behavior of multi-span girder bridges in near-fault regions through dynamic analysis, evaluating the impact of seismic parameters such as excitation amplitude, period, and apparent wave velocity on structural ...

Non‐uniform excitation of the pectoralis major muscle during flat and inclined bench press exercises

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Medicine & Science in Sports, 2021
Non‐physiological sources may lead to equivocal interpretation on the degree of muscle excitation from electromyograms (EMGs) amplitude. This presumably explains the contradictory findings regarding the effect of the bench press inclination on the pectoralis major (PM) activation pattern.

Selection of earthquake records for the non-uniform excitation of bridges

open access: yesEngineering Structures, 2018
Abstract Currently, there is no research effort on the efficient selection of earthquake records for the non-uniform excitation of bridges. The present investigation addresses this topic. Initially, the physics of the bridge response to asynchronous seismic excitations are illustrated.

Shake Table Test of Cable-Stayed Bridge Subjected to Non-Uniform Excitation

open access: yesProcedia Engineering, 2011
AbstractThe shake table test of a long span cable-stayed bridge model subjected to non-uniform excitation is presented in this paper. The prototype is a double-deck cable-stayed bridge with a main span of 430m and side spans of 160m on either side. An innovative dual shake table testing system is designed and constructed for the purpose of this study ...

Increasing the sensitivity of electrical impedance to piezoelectric material parameters with non-uniform electrical excitation [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sensors and Sensor Systems, 2015
To increase the robustness and functionality of piezoceramic ultrasonic sensors, e.g. for flow, material concentration or non-destructive testing, their development is often supported by computer simulations.

A new approach to generating non-uniform support excitation at topographic sites

open access: yesSoils and Foundations, 2019
Abstract This study investigates different methods for generating non-uniform support acceleration at actual topographic sites. The factors affecting the non-uniform excitation of a topographic site include the time delay between the arrival times of incident waves at different soil depths, causing a phase difference, and the coherence function.
