A note on chain‐based semi‐Heyting algebras
We determine the number of non-isomorphic semi-Heyting algebras on an n-element chain, where n is a positive integer, using a recursive method. We then prove that the numbers obtained agree with those determined in [1].

Perfect non-commuting graphs of matrices over chains
In this paper, we study the non-commuting graph [Formula: see text] of strictly upper triangular [Formula: see text] matrices over an [Formula: see text]-element chain [Formula: see text]. We prove that [Formula: see text] is a compact graph.

Finite element simulation of an embedded anchor chain
The embedded portion of a mooring line plays an important role for efficient and economic design of an overall mooring system. This paper presents a methodology for numerical simulation of the behaviour of an embedded anchor chain as it cuts through the ...

Metric Based Upscaling for Partial Differential Equations with a Continuum of Scales [PDF]
Numerical upscaling of problems with multiple scale structures have attracted increasing attention in recent years. In particular, problems with non-separable scales pose a great challenge to mathematical analysis and simulation.
