Non-Hodgkin lymphoma is a non-specific term that includes several lymphoproliferative malignant diseases with different clinical and histological appearances. Here, we concentrate on adult lymphomas. We look at their molecular basis, at the development of a classification system based on a better understanding of the biology of the various subgroups ...

Medical Clinics of North America, 1984
The non-Hodgkin's lymphomas, although sharing a common origin, often present physicians with wide variations in natural history and prognosis. The proper therapy of these diseases is based on an understanding of these differences and upon the information gained by pathologic review and staging, as well as the available chemotherapeutic and ...

Pediatric non-Hodgkin lymphoma
Current Hematologic Malignancy Reports, 2007Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) accounts for 7% of cancer in children and adolescents in the United States, or approximately 1000 cases annually. Current Opinion in Hematology, 1996
Attention is being directed at increasing the intensity of therapy as a means of improving the results of primary therapy for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. There is increasing evidence that the use of high-dose consolidation therapy followed by autologous hematopoietic rescue in first remission improves survival in high-risk patients.

Intraocular non-Hodgkin's lymphoma
Documenta Ophthalmologica, 1990Usually eye symptoms precede the infiltration of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in the central nervous system or in other organs. Early treatment of the tumor by irradiation, to which it is highly sensitive, can preserve the vision and prolong the life of the patient.

The non-Hodgkin's lymphomas are a group of diseases for which substantial progress has been made in understanding tumor biology and effectiveness of treatment during the last few years. These advances may provide insight into the development of neoplasms because of recognized association of lymphomas with viral infections and immunodeficiency.

Endobronchial Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma
Chest, 1983Four patients with endobronchial non-Hodgkin's lymphoma are presented. Although endobronchial Hodgkin's disease is not uncommon, endobronchial non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is extremely rare. All patients had disseminated disease at the time of their endobronchial involvement. Chest radiographs revealed hilar masses and/or varying degrees of lobar collapse in
