Modelling and monitoring of resin transfer moulding [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Modelling and monitoring tools appropriate for the resin transfer moulding composites manufacturing route were developed in this study. A simulation of the curing stage of the process based on a finite elements solution of the non-linear heat ...

Experimental Characterization of Mycelium‐Based Composites Under Multiple Loading Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study examines the mechanical response of mycelium‐based composites under compression, shear, and tension using mechanical testing and imaging methods. The comparison between unpressed and hot‐pressed specimens shows that hot pressing is associated with higher compression and shear stiffnesses.

Electrical, Dielectric Property and Electrochemical Performances of Plasticized Silver Ion-Conducting Chitosan-Based Polymer Nanocomposites

open access: yesMembranes, 2020
In the present work, chitosan (CS) as a natural biopolymer was used to prepare nanocomposite polymer electrolytes (NCPEs) in order to reduce plastic waste pollution. The plasticized CS-based NCSPE has been prepared via the solution casting technique. The

Reconfigurable Logic‐in‐Memory Operations Enabled by Triple‐Gated Feedback Field‐Effect Transistors for Area‐Efficient Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A reconfigurable logic‐in‐memory cell composed of triple‐gated feedback field‐effect transistors implements multiple combinational logic functions within a single configuration. By utilizing program gates as dynamic input terminals, the proposed cell performs full adder, full subtractor, 2‐to‐1 multiplexer, and 4‐to‐2 encoder operations without ...

Effect of Mg2+ and Sr2+ doping on dielectric and non-ohmic properties in binary compound CaCu3Ti4O12/TiO2 ceramics

open access: yesResults in Physics
To improve the dielectric response of capacitive CaCu3Ti4O12/TiO2 ceramics (referred to as CaCu3Ti4.2O12 and abbreviated as Ti02), ceramics were single-doped with either Sr2+ or Mg2+ ions and co-doped with Sr2+ and Mg2+ ions.

Microstructure, Thermal Transport, and Dry‐Sliding Tribology of Powder‐Metallurgy Al7075 Composites Reinforced With Sol–Gel‐Derived ZnO–rGO Hybrid Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Sol–gel‐derived ZnO–rGO hybrid nanoparticles enable Al7075 powder‐metallurgy composites to achieve concurrent gains in hardness and thermal conductivity while markedly lowering friction and wear. The hybrid architecture couples ZnO‐based load support with rGO‐assisted lamellar sliding and heat spreading, revealing a promising route toward lightweight ...
