Symbolic Analysis for Boundary Problems: From Rewriting to Parametrized Groebner Bases [PDF]
We review our algebraic framework for linear boundary problems (concentrating on ordinary differential equations). Its starting point is an appropriate algebraization of the domain of functions, which we have named integro-differential algebras.

On the topological ranks of Banach ∗$^*$‐algebras associated with groups of subexponential growth
Abstract Let G$G$ be a group of subexponential growth and C→qG$\mathcal C\overset{q}{\rightarrow }G$ a Fell bundle. We show that any Banach ∗$^*$‐algebra that sits between the associated ℓ1$\ell ^1$‐algebra ℓ1(G|C)$\ell ^1(G\,\vert \,\mathcal C)$ and its C∗$C^*$‐envelope has the same topological stable rank and real rank as ℓ1(G|C)$\ell ^1(G\,\vert ...

Noncommutative Bessel symmetric functions
The consideration of tensor products of 0-Hecke algebra modules leads to natural analogs of the Bessel J-functions in the algebra of noncommutative symmetric functions. This provides a simple explanation of various combinatorial properties of Bessel functions.

We geometrically derive the explicit form of the unitary representation of the Poincaré group for vector-valued wave functions and use it to apply speed-of-light boosts to a simple polarization basis to end up with a Hawton–Baylis photon position ...

Jordan homomorphisms and T‐ideals
Abstract Let A$A$ and B$B$ be associative algebras over a field F$F$ with char(F)≠2${\rm char}(F)\ne 2$. Our first main result states that if A$A$ is unital and equal to its commutator ideal, then every Jordan epimorphism φ:A→B$\varphi:A\rightarrow B$ is the sum of a homomorphism and an antihomomorphism. Our second main result concerns (not necessarily

On the Hopf Algebra of Noncommutative Symmetric Functions in Superspace
We study the combinatorial Hopf algebra of noncommutative symmetric functions in superspace sNSym, introduced by Fishel, Lapointe and Pinto. We introduce a family of primitive elements of sNSym and extend the noncommutative elementary and power sum functions to superspace. Then, we give formulas relating these families of functions.

Supercharacters, symmetric functions in noncommuting variables (extended abstract) [PDF]
We identify two seemingly disparate structures: supercharacters, a useful way of doing Fourier analysis on the group of unipotent uppertriangular matrices with coefficients in a finite field, and the ring of symmetric functions in noncommuting variables. Each is a Hopf algebra and the two are isomorphic as such.

FPGA Realization of a Novel Hyperchaos Augmented Image Encryption Algorithm
With the rapid growth of multimedia communication, protecting image data has become increasingly critical. This article proposes a novel 3‐stage hyperchaos‐based augmented image encryption technique (3SHAIET) that utilizes a three‐stage process with chaotic systems of increasing dimensionality (e.g., six‐dimensional [6D], 8D, and 9D) to enhance ...

Dynamically Consistent Analysis of Realized Covariations in Term Structure Models
ABSTRACT In this article, we show how to analyze the covariation of bond prices nonparametrically and robustly, staying consistent with a general no‐arbitrage setting. This is, in particular, motivated by the problem of identifying the number of statistically relevant factors in the bond market under minimal conditions.
