Macromolecular Chemistry and Physics, EarlyView.Cholesteric liquid crystal (ChLC) droplets are encapsulated with silicone shells by our novel two‐step dip coating procedure. The shells enable ChLCs to be embedded in hydrogels, leading to a reliable thermochromic sensor in aqueous environment. Digital image colorimetry in HSV color space are utilized to analyze the ordering of ChLCs.

Nonexistence of stable solutions to p-Laplace equations with exponential nonlinearities
Electronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2016 In this note we prove the nonexistence of stable solutions to the p-Laplace equation $-\Delta_p u = e^u$ on the entire Euclidean space $\mathbb{R}^N$, where $p>2$ and $N < \frac{p(p+3)}{p-1}$.
