Some Convergence Results for a Class of Generalized Nonexpansive Mappings in Banach Spaces

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, 2021
This paper investigates fixed points of Reich-Suzuki-type nonexpansive mappings in the context of uniformly convex Banach spaces through an M∗ iterative method. Under some appropriate situations, some strong and weak convergence theorems are established.

Partially nonexpansive mappings

open access: yesAdvances in the Theory of Nonlinear Analysis and its Application, 2022
It is defined a class of generalized nonexpansive mappings, which properly contains those defined by Suzuki in 2008, and that preserves some of its fixed point results.

Iterative algorithm for fixed point problems of generalized nearly asymptotically nonexpansive mappings and solutions of a system of generalized nonlinear variational-like inclusions

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2022
This paper is devoted to the study of a class of generalized nonexpansive mappings called generalized nearly asymptotically nonexpansive mappings and to show that it properly includes the class of nearly asymptotically nonexpansive mappings.

GENERALIZED − -NONEXPANSIVE MULTIVALUED MAPPINGS AND THEIR PROPERTIES

open access: yes, 2021
In this work, we introduce generalized α − β-nonexpansive multivalued mappings which are a new class of nonexpansive multivalued mappings. Furthermore, we give some properties of such mappings in Banach spaces.

Iteration of order preserving subhomogeneous maps on a cone [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We investigate the iterative behaviour of continuous order preserving subhomogeneous maps $f: K\,{\rightarrow}\, K$, where $K$ is a polyhedral cone in a finite dimensional vector space. We show that each bounded orbit of $f$ converges to a periodic orbit

Monotone Generalized ?-Nonexpansive Mappings on CATp(0) Spaces

open access: yes, 2023
We examine the existence of fixed points of generalized alpha-nonexpansive mappings on CAT(p)(0) spaces. We establish various convergence results for a newly defined algorithm associated with alpha-nonexpansive mappings and present some illustrative ...

Convergence theorems for a finite family of nonexpansive and asymptotically nonexpansive mappings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
summary:In this paper, weak and strong convergence of finite step iteration sequences to a common fixed point for a pair of a finite family of nonexpansive mappings and a finite family of asymptotically nonexpansive mappings in a nonempty closed convex ...

Fixed points and their approximations for asymptotically nonexpansive mappings in locally convex spaces

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1995
We construct an example that the class of asymptotically nonexpansive mappings include properly the class of nonexpansive mappings in locally convex spaces, prove a theorem on the existence of fixed points, and the convergence of the sequence of iterates

On Generalized Nonexpansive Maps in Banach Spaces [PDF]

open access: yesComputation, 2020
We introduce a very general class of generalized non-expansive maps. This new class of maps properly includes the class of Suzuki non-expansive maps, Reich–Suzuki type non-expansive maps, and generalized α -non-expansive maps. We establish some basic properties and demiclosed principle for this class of maps. After this, we establish existence and

A General Dynamic Programming Approach to the Optimal Water Storage Management for Irrigation

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, Volume 49, Issue 3, Page 1987-1997, February 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper proposes a dynamic programming approach targeted to solve a natural resource problem of water storage management for irrigation in an environmentally and socially sustainable way. The problem we address in our formulation, focusing on the control of water storage in tanks, is based on assumptions that are less restrictive than those
