Bilateral Leydig Cell Tumor in a Capuchin Monkey (Sapajus apella): Case Report
ABSTRACT Leydig cell tumors (LCTs) are uncommon in nonhuman primates (NHPs). A bilateral LCT was identified in a 20‐year‐old male capuchin monkey (Sapajus apella) maintained under human care. Ultrasonography revealed a right testicular nodule, while necropsy identified bilateral testicular masses. Histopathology confirmed bilateral LCT.

Functional morphology of trabecular bone in the calcaneus of African apes
Pan exhibits significantly higher calcaneal tuberosity trabecular thickness (Tb.Th) and bone volume fraction (BV/TV) than Gorilla, potentially reflecting higher triceps surae forces for vertical climbing. Both taxa have significantly higher Tb.Th and BV/TV in the anterior calcaneus; the difference is exaggerated in Gorilla, potentially reflecting ...

Evolutionary Background of Precise Vocal–Respiratory Temporal Coordination in Human Infants
In humans, early complementary feeding may have increased demands on flexible regulation of swallowing timing, while laryngeal descent may have increased the cost of failure by heightening the need for airway protection. These pressures may have promoted early laryngeal–respiratory coordination, providing a physiological context for the later ...

A De Novo Peptide That Induces Axonal Growth Through TrkB Activation
A homodimeric anti‐TrkB macrocyclic peptide, DiTrbL3, originally discovered by the RaPID system as monomeric form, dimerizes the TrkB receptor and activate the downstream signaling. DiTrbL3 acts as a mimic of BDNF (the natural protein ligand) and stimulates hippocampal neurons to extend axons.
