Wetting Process and Adsorption Mechanism of Surfactant Solutions on Coal Dust Surface

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, 2019
To determine the wetting process and wetting mechanism of different surfactant solutions on coal dust surface, four types of surfactants (anionic surfactant 1227, anionic surfactant AOS, amphoteric surfactant CAB-35, and nonionic surfactant CDEA) are ...

Azeotrope formation in gasoline–ethanol blends. Part 1 – Impact of nonionic on E10 distillation curve

open access: yesEgyptian Journal of Petroleum, 2018
Blending 10 vol% of ethanol into hydrocarbon base gasoline (HBG) increases significantly the vapour pressure of the blend (E10), and exhibits near-azeotrope behaviour that severely affects the shape of E10 distillation curve.

MOBILITY REDUCTION OF CO2 USING CO2 SOLUBLE SURFACTANTS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Addition of slightly CO2-soluble, brine-soluble, surfactants to high pressure CO2 for EOR may facilitate in-situ generation of CO2-in-brine foams for mobility control.

A Solvent‐Free, Dry‐Processed Li‐Ion Battery Enabled by Dual Binders and Nanostructured Aluminum Current Collectors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A dual‐binder dry‐processed electrode (DB‐DPE) combining PTFE and PVDF with a nanostructured Al current collector (NSA) forms a mechanically interlocked interface that significantly improves adhesion and reduces interfacial resistance. With an active material content as high as 96 wt.%, the NSA‐based DB‐DPE enables high‐mass‐loading operation (12.5 mAh

Laser‐Based Sculpturing of Embedded Ultrathin Metal‐Oxide Nanopores for Enhanced Biomolecular Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Controlled laser‐drilling of embedded HfO2 membranes creates three layer nanopores with Gaussian‐shaped cavities sculptured in the supporting layers. These embedded solid‐state nanopores slow DNA translocation by 12‐fold compared to SiNx pores, enabling high‐resolution, label‐free detection of short DNAs, RNAs, and proteins.

Efficient uses of some types of surfactant products [PDF]

open access: yes
The present work is part of a more complex study referring to chemical substances known under the name of „surfactants” or „tensioactive agents” which can alter the conductivity of fibers, textile materials, etc.

High‐Yield Synthesis of Fe‐NC Electrocatalysts Using Mg2+ Templating and Schiff‐Base Porous Organic Polymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fe─NC porous oxygen reduction electrocatalysts are prepared employing a 2,4,6‐Triaminopyrimidine‐based porous organic polymer, a Mg2+ Lewis acid, and a low‐temperature cation exchange protocol. Using the polymer precursor achieves high pyrolysis yields and results in atomically dispersed FeNx sites. The resulting catalysts feature hierarchical porosity
