Toxicological evaluation of a nonlethal riot control combinational formulation upon dermal application using animal models

Cutaneous and Ocular Toxicology, 2023
Numerous adverse effects on human health have been reported in epidemiological studies of oleoresin capsicum (OC) and other riot control agents (RCAs). Importantly, the daunting risk of such RCAs can be neutralized by optimizing the desired concentration of such agents for mob dispersal.

Optimal Control of Wild Horse Populations with Nonlethal Methods

Land Economics, 2017
Effective management of wild horse populations has proven difficult for land managers. This paper develops and evaluates dynamic optimization models of wild horse management for three nonlethal population control methods: removals, fertility control, and a hybrid method combining removals and fertility control.

Nonlethal combined flash and sound pulse projector for counter-personnel and crowd control

SPIE Proceedings, 2006
This paper presents a non-lethal concept using an innovative directed energy pulser for counter-personnel and crowd control. A high power pulsed electrical discharge, initiated using a wire in air, simultaneously generates a loud acoustic report and a bright light pulse.

Evaluation of Possible Nonlethal Side Effects of Permethrin Used in Predator Exclusion Experiments to Evaluate Amblyseius limonicus (Acari: Phytoseiidae) in Biological Control of Cassava Mites (Acari: Tetranychidae)

Environmental Entomology, 1987
Permethrin has been recommended for use in predator exclusion studies of Amblyseius limonicus Garman & McGregor (formerly in Typhlodromalus ), an important predator of tetranychid cassava ( Manihot esculenta Crantz) pests: green mite, Mononychellus progresivus Doreste, and twospotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae Koch.

Examining Sexual Assault Victimization and Loneliness as Risk Factors Associated With Nonlethal Self-Harm Behaviors in Female College Students: Is It Important to Control for Concomitant Suicidal Behaviors (and Vice Versa)?

Journal of Interpersonal Violence, 2016
The present study examined sexual assault victimization and loneliness as predictors of self-harm behaviors in a sample of 224 female college students. Results from conducting regression analysis indicated that both sexual assault victimization and loneliness were unique and significant predictors of self-harm behaviors.
