Magnetic Fields in Nonlinear Salient Pole Alternators
IEEE Transactions on Power Apparatus and Systems, 1968The flux densities under load are established in the cross section of salient pole alternators of low pole numbers. The two-dimensional partial differential equations describing the magnetic vector potentials are first transformed in partial difference equations and a new algorithm is given.

Load Analysis of Nonlinear Homopolar Inductor Alternators
IEEE Transactions on Power Apparatus and Systems, 1973For a more accurate load analysis of the Homopolar Inductor Alternator (HIA), a magnetic vector potential analysis must be used which considers the nonlinearities of the iron and the actual current density fields. A nonlinear quasi-Poissonian partial differential equation, subject to the appropriate boundary conditions, is defined to solve for the ...

On Schwarz Alternating Methods for Nonlinear Elliptic PDEs
SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing, 1999The author considers several Schwarz alternating method for solving nonlinear elliptic problems. It is shown that these methods with two overlapping subdomains can be embedded in the framework of Banach and Schauder fixed point methods or the theory of global inversion.

EDGE transmitter alternative using nonlinear polar modulation
Proceedings of the 2003 International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2003. ISCAS '03., 2003Generating the EDGE signal at essentially the same cost as for GSM is difficult due to the additional linearity required from the RF power circuitry. The use of polar modulation as an alternative approach is investigated, and found to yield excellent signal quality while eliminating any need for RF circuit linearity.

An alternator-voltage regulator utilizing a nonlinear circuit
Electrical Engineering, 1937ALTHOUGH several different types of alternator-voltage regulators are in successful operation at present, the purpose of this paper is to describe a regulator which is believed to have several outstanding advantages over any of the present types. The inherent limitations of the various types of moving-contact regulators are well known, and a perusal of

ALTERNATIVE ESTIMATION METHODS OF NONLINEAR DEMAND SYSTEMS
1983Several contemporary models of consumer demand comprise complete sets on nonlinear demand functions. Estimation methods should take into account parameter nonlinearity, cross-equation correlation, variance-covariance singularity of the disturbance terms, and various parameter restrictions. This paper presents a theoretical discussion and some empirical
