Systems with Nonlinear Boundary Conditions
1992This chapter gives a treatment for coupled system of equations with nonlinear boundary conditions analogous to that for coupled systems with linear boundary conditions. The system under consideration can be coupled through the boundary conditions or through the differential equations. For systems of two equations coupled through the boundary conditions,

Evolution Problems with Nonlinear Nonlocal Boundary Conditions
Journal of Dynamics and Differential Equations, 2013The authors consider a nonlinear evolution problem with nonlinear nonlocal boundary conditions. They concentrate on existence results obtained by applying the degree theory for function triples with a Fredholm function developed in [the third author, Topological analysis. From the basics to the triple degree for nonlinear Fredholm inclusions.

Equations with Nonlinear Boundary Conditions
1992Many of the results given in the previous chapters can be extended to problems with nonlinear boundary conditions by the method of upper and lower solutions. This chapter is devoted to an extension of this method to both parabolic and elliptic boundary-value problems where the boundary function h is replaced by a nonlinear function. This extension also

Nonlinear Elliptic Equations with Nonlinear Boundary Conditions
1976Publisher Summary This chapter focuses on nonlinear elliptic equations with nonlinear boundary conditions, and discusses mildly nonlinear elliptic boundary value problems (BVPs). For the study of the stability of the solutions of the parabolic initial-boundary value problem, one has to have a good knowledge of the steady states, that is, of the ...

NUMERICAL BLOW-UP FOR A NONLINEAR PROBLEM WITH A NONLINEAR BOUNDARY CONDITION
Mathematical Models and Methods in Applied Sciences, 2002In this paper we study numerical approximations for positive solutions of a nonlinear heat equation with a nonlinear boundary condition. We describe in terms of the nonlinearities when solutions of a semidiscretization in space exist globally in time and when they blow up in finite time. We also find the blow-up rates and the blow-up sets.

Attractor for a Degenerate Nonlinear Diffusion Problem with Nonlinear Boundary Condition
Journal of Dynamics and Differential Equations, 1998The authors study the following initial-boundary value problem: \[ u_t= \Delta\varphi(u)+ f(u)\quad\text{in }Q= \Omega\times (0,\infty),\tag{1} \] \[ {\partial\varphi(u)\over\partial n}= g(u)\quad\text{on }S= \partial\Omega\times [0,\infty),\quad u(x,0)= u_0(x)\quad\text{on }\Omega, \] where \(\Omega\subseteq \mathbb{R}^N\) is a smooth bounded domain ...

Ordinary Differential Equations with Nonlinear Boundary Conditions
gmj, 2002Abstract The method of lower and upper solutions combined with the monotone iterative technique is used for ordinary differential equations with nonlinear boundary conditions. Some existence results are formulated for such problems.

Boundary value problems with nonlinear boundary conditions of noncompact intervals
1998The authors consider the following boundary value problem \[ x'= A(t,x)x+ f(t,x),\quad Lx= H(x),\tag{1} \] where \(A(t,x)\) is a matrix function defined and continuous on \([0,\infty)\times \mathbb{R}^N\), \(f(t,x)\) is a vector function defined and continuous on \([0,\infty)\times \mathbb{R}^N\) with values in \(\mathbb{R}^N\), \(L\) is a bounded ...

Boundary value problems with nonlinear boundary conditions in Banach spaces
1990The existence of a solution of \(x'=A(t,x)x+f(t,x)\) which satisfies the condition \(Lx=H(x)\) is proved where X is a Banach space, \(J=[a,b]\), A(t,x) is a bounded operator defined and continuous on \(J\times X\), f(t,x) is a continuous function on \(J\times X\), L: C(J,X)\(\to X\) is a bounded linear operator and H: C(J,X)\(\to X\) is a continuous ...
