Dust-ion acoustic shock wave in four-component magnetized dusty plasma [PDF]
The Zakharov-Kuznetsov-Burgers (ZKB) equation for the Dust Ion Acoustic (DIA) Shock waves in four-component magnetized dusty plasma using standard reductive perturbation technique and hydrodynamics model have been theoretically investigated.

Dirac solitons in optical microresonators
Dirac solitons: Equation describes new properties The intriguing properties of a new type of ultrashort light pulse in microresonators are described. Called a Dirac soliton, Heming Wang and colleagues at the California Institute of Technology say that ...

Vibrations of a geometrically nonlinear viscoelastic shallow shell with concentrated masses [PDF]
Shell structures are widely used in various fields of technology and construction. Often, they play the role of a bearing surface with assemblies, overlays, and aggregates installed on them.

Solitary waves in a discrete nonlinear Dirac equation [PDF]
In the present work, we introduce a discrete formulation of the nonlinear Dirac equation in the form of a discretization of the Gross-Neveu model. The motivation for this discrete model proposal is both computational (near the continuum limit) and theoretical (using the understanding of the anti-continuum limit of vanishing coupling).

Stationary solutions for the 2D critical Dirac equation with Kerr nonlinearity [PDF]
In this paper we prove the existence of an exponentially localized stationary solution for a two-dimensional cubic Dirac equation. It appears as an effective equation in the description of nonlinear waves for some Condensed Matter (Bose-Einstein ...

Nonlinear Wave Equations Related to Nonextensive Thermostatistics
We advance two nonlinear wave equations related to the nonextensive thermostatistical formalism based upon the power-law nonadditive S q entropies.

Nonlinear Dirac Equations, Monotonicity Formulas and Liouville Theorems [PDF]
Abstract We study the qualitative behavior of nonlinear Dirac equations arising in quantum field theory on complete Riemannian manifolds. In particular, we derive monotonicity formulas and Liouville theorems for solutions of these equations. Finally, we extend our analysis to Dirac-harmonic maps with curvature term.

We review recent work of the authors on the non-relativistic Schr\"odinger equation with a honeycomb lattice potential, $V$. In particular, we summarize results on (i) the existence of Dirac points, conical singularities in dispersion surfaces of $H_V ...
