Synthesis of Resonance by Nonlinear Distortion Methods [PDF]
This article explores techniques for synthesizing resonant sounds using the principle of nonlinear distortion. These methods can be grouped under the heading of “subtractive synthesis without filters,” the case for which has been made in the literature.

Digital compensation of nonlinear distortion in loudspeakers [PDF]
The authors present a method to compensate for loudspeaker distortion in real time by nonlinear digital signal processing implemented on a digital signal processor (i.e., the TMS320C30 DSP). Based on the literature, an electrical equivalent circuit of an electrodynamic loudspeaker is developed, resulting in a linear lumped parameter model.

Hardware Design of a High Dynamic Range Radio Frequency (RF) Harmonic Measurement System
Radio frequency (RF) circuit elements that are traditionally considered to be linear frequently exhibit nonlinear properties that affect the intended operation of many other RF systems. Devices such as RF connectors, antennas, attenuators, resistors, and

Minima in cubic distortion-product otoacoustic emission input/output functions due to distributed primary sources [PDF]
Input/output (I/O) functions of distortion-product otoacoustic emissions (DPOAEs) may contain sudden amplitude minima (notches) although they are measured in animals with a negligible reflection source.

Determination of Inactive Powers in a Single-Phase AC Network
Based on the development of the theory of reactive power and distortion power, starting with the works of Fryze and Budeanu, it has been found that the contradictions in the definition of the components of inactive powers are caused by errors in the ...

Analytical model for calculating the nonlinear distortion in silicon-based electro-optic Mach-Zehnder modulators [PDF]
In this study, an analytical model for calculating the nonlinear harmonic/intermodulation distortion for RF signals in silicon-based electro-optic modulators is investigated by considering the nonlinearity on the effective index change curve with the ...

Feature Matching of Multimodal Images Based on Nonlinear Diffusion and Progressive Filtering
Traditional image feature matching methods cannot obtain satisfactory results for multimodal images in most cases because different imaging mechanisms bring significant nonlinear radiation distortion differences and geometric distortion.
