Nonlinear phase effect connected with a nonlinear gain
2006 8th International Conference on Actual Problems of Electronic Instrument Engineering, 2006The influence of a nonlinear gain on generation frequencies in semiconductor lasers is researched. The obtained formula is analyzed for generation frequencies with the help of numerical calculations which allows deducing the approximate formula for generation frequencies.

Nonlinear Effects in Asymmetric Catalysis
Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 2008AbstractThere is a need for the preparation of enantiomerically pure compounds for various applications. An efficient approach to achieve this goal is asymmetric catalysis. The chiral catalyst is usually prepared from a chiral auxiliary, which itself is derived from a natural product or by resolution of a racemic precursor.

Effects of Film Nonlinearities in Holography
Applied Optics, 1967A study of the effects of photographic nonlinearities in recording coherent wavefronts is reported. Particular emphasis is placed on holography using the two-beam interferometry technique. A phenomenological model which provides the mathematical formulation for describing the effects of nonlinearities is described.

Effective conductivity of nonlinear composites
Physical Review B, 1992The perturbation expansion method is used to compute the effective conductivity of nonlinear composite media. We develop perturbation expansions to solve nonlinear partial differential equations pertaining to the electrostatic boundary value problems.

EFFECTIVE GEOMETRY IN NONLINEAR ELECTRODYNAMICS
International Journal of Modern Physics A, 2002The electromagnetic force a photon undergoes in a nonlinear regime can be geometrized. This is a rather unexpected result and at the same time a beautiful consequence of the analysis of the behavior of the discontinuities of non-homogeneous nonlinear electromagnetic field. We show how such geometrization is possible.

Nonlinear Effects in Transport Theory
The Physics of Fluids, 1961A method for the formal statistical description of transport processes beyond the linear approximation is discussed. External forces which maintain a deviation from equilibrium are introduced into the Liouville equation, and solution of this equation yields an ensemble characteristic of the non-equilibrium state.
